Kiph's slim/lean figure is ed by a posture of poise and discipline. Despite her having a toned build, she never had to exert much effort into exercise, thanks to her genetics and metabolism. However, her daily training was the one true factor in helping her reach a great physicality.

Eyes:

Like her father, Kiph's eyes are dark ash.

After her first un-supervised fight at the academy (which was quite personal rather than academic), her left eye was scathed in the process, blinding the eye.

Naturally, Kiph broke her opponent's legs. The fight wasn't brought to the attention of the academy as it would also bring shame into attention. The big fight was swept under the rug thanks to the noble families' persistence.

Skin Tone:

Kiph's skin is a light shade of olive. Due to the amount of time she spends outside, she is fairly tanned, but never burned. Surprisingly, she isn't very dark skinned like her father. She inherited her mother's light skin.

Piercings

Kiph has double piercings on both ear lobes which she never uses anymore.

Tattoos:

When Kiph was adventuring on her own to find her earthbending mentor, she found Sed instead. This stranger became a friend, then a mentor, then later, a lover. Although the two found that they had differences and could not stay together, they remained very good friends. Kiph had gotten a hand-tapped tattoo of a tribal com on her left thigh by Sed that symbolized her drive to find true meaning in life, and not just a mentor.

Scars:

Some of Kiph's most visible scars are on her face. Over her left eye is a cross-shaped scar. These scars mark Kiph's most vicious battle at her Earthbending Academy.

Several of her other scars are just minor reminders of her brutal training and petty fights with peers.

Personality

Kiph is well known for her unpredictable and spontaneous nature. She never sticks to doing the same activity for too long as it's easy for her to get bored of it. One moment she can be painting in a moment of zen, the next, she could be exploring an uncharted mountain forest. It's difficult to make an enemy out of Kiph as she is forgiving and she essentially detatches herself from most negativity. Kiph knows her way well around conflict and she manages to pacify troubling situations with her wisdom and experience. Some would say that her ability to empathize with almost anyone grants her the ability to be a great leader. If only she could remain devoted to something and exert more effort, she would have more of a chance at making use of her potential. In other words, Kiph is lazy.

Traits:

Honourable - Kiph can be mischevous and daring, and so she may commit to lighter crimes for the hell of it. However, she doesn't go out of her way to deliberately sabotage another person's interests and hinder people's lives. She knows where to draw the line and at the end of the day, Kiph is honorable and good natured at heart. She's no saint, but she'll play a few tricks, vandalize, and steal for a thrill.

Lazy - Despite Kiph's spontaneous side, she has a lazy side as well. She has the tendency to procrastinate and stall herself from completing necessary tasks for no good reason. Unless munching on snacks is a good reason.

However, her laziness has brought about an innovative side to her that helped with making her life easier. Kiph would come up with shortcuts for tasks, but the turnout would be the same, if not better. Not to mention her over use of earthbending to help with her life. Some would even consider her addicted to it.

Clean Freak - Kiph's need for a clean space and a clean face overpowers any sort of laziness. She will only settle on laying around and relaxing once she's physically cleaned out her environment and she herself is hygenic amd presentable. Kiph naturally adopted this behaviour as her mother and father raised her up to these standards.

Forgiving - Kiph can have sudden outbursts of anger from disagreements, although she will never hold a grudge as she finds it tiresome and a waste of time. Either she gets bored of being angry, or she forgets why she's angry.

Kiph will only act in vindiction when someone wrongs her friends and family; Possibly even reveal a dark, merciless side.

Wise - Many of those who take time to get to know Kiph would find that her soul is as old as centuries. Her insight and understanding of the world is quite vast for her young age.

Combat

Bending:

When Kiph discovered she could earthbend, she wouldn't and couldn't stop. Her parents immediately took notice of her skill and talent in the art, and enrolled her into a prestigious academy for bending. This only helped Kiph to flourish her bending more and at a faster rate than the average novice earthbender. She grew uninterested in the routine of an academy and went off on her own to expand her skillset.

Of course, this angered her family, but her eagerness to learn had proven Kiph more than capable in her parent's eyes. She had succeeded and sured many and all of the academy's trials ahead of the curriculum, which convinced her parents that she could fend for herself. Kiph eventually set off on her own, by the time she reached 18 years old, in pursuit of an earthbending master to help her challenge her limits.

Sub-bending:

Metal bending - after learning of the feat in bending that Toph Beifong had reached, Kiph immediately sought to commit herself to bending metal. After two weeks of brutal training, Kiph finally started to metal bend and was one of the first few people to master the art. Not without practicing seismic senses of course.

Father:

Azik Shaal

Status: Alive (60 years old)

Azik had been the one who spoiled Kiph everyday of her life. From spending the day together at the markets and shops to provide Kiph with whatever she asked, to feeding her whatever she craved at home, her father would pamper Kiph with whatever he could offer. "No" was never really something Kiph heard from Azik unless what Kiph asked was dangerous or impossible.

Aside from spoiling Kiph rotten, Azik had taught her almost everything she knew. Azik had helped Kiph to practice and flourish in the art of earth sculpting from a very young age. Kiph discovered her nearly prodigious talent in sculpting at the age of six and has only improved since. Other craftsmanship such as carpentry and drawing were skills that Azik helped Kiph to master. Thanks to Kiph's natural talent in craftsmanship, she was able to improve and work at a very fast rate.

Their relationship had always been the epitome of true respect and love. As Azik would go to work during the day when Kiph would be at her academy, they would come home at the same time to spend the rest of their days together.

Mother:

Vara Shaal

Status: Alive (59 years old)

As the complete opposite mellow relationship that Azik and Kiph shared, Vara's relationship with Kiph was always rigid. However, Kiph always held her mother at a high regard with extreme respect. Vara's means of teaching Kiph was always strict, but reasonable. Kiph would get hit and yelled at when she deserved it. During times when Kiph and Vara would have their disagreements, Kiph woukd always retaliate with "silent tantrums". As retaliating at an equal harshness would bring about the wrath of a strict firebending mother, Kiph was wise to be silent about it. At the end of the day, Kiph would appreciate the hours of lecturing and yelling from her mother as her morality, insight and standard only strengthened.

Kiph would only see her mother a few minutes a day due to work, thus their distant relationship. Even so, Kiph has always loved her mother dearly and would try her best to make the most out of the little time they had together every day.

Like their mother, Vara, Moha's behaviour with Kiph was always uptight and critical. Moha's choice of words towards young Kiph would have been considered unreasonable. When problems would arise, Moha would resort to anger. The lectures could be degrading and cold, however Kiph had always looked up at Moha and she understood that Moha only wanted the best for her. For Kiph, Moha always seemed like a second mother rather than a big sister.

After Moha had gotten married and had two children, Moha's grip on Kiph's neck had loosened quite a bit as she had two other children to shape to perfection.

Growing up, Moha had been the very example of the woman Kiph wanted to be. Resilient, independent and a badass. Although, Kiph was always softer and more calm. She had come to embrace this later in her life.
