Yes, I know that it's been a long break for like two paragraphs. I'll update this story soon, I promise.
I padded closer to Coco, who looked dejected. “But I also think you have the right idea. Keep looking, ok? I’m sure someone will be able to bring the Forest Guardian back.”
“And you won’t tell anyone about this, right?”
I smiled. “Your secret is safe with me.”
Coco smiled sadly. I wished I could help him, but at the same time this whole Forest Guardian spiel seemed far too exciting for me.
“I should probably get back to the patrol.” I frowned. “If Misty and Nightfall encounter some Mountain Domain cats, it won’t be pretty.”
“Do you miss them?”
I barely stopped myself from laughing. “No, but Alisa’ll be mad at me if I’m not there to stop those two from starting a fight.” I began to climb out of the ruins.
“Goodbye then, Chickadee.”
