The Curators/Leaders have challenged us to write a review on our favorite Final Fantasy games. So I figured, let's take up the challenge! My favorite game in the series is IV (4) and I'm going to do a review on it (obviously. I have a problem with repeating myself.)
Final Fantasy IV
Review by MinhtheMage

I am just going to come out and say it. I LOVE this game. I love the story, the characters, and especially the music. But let's go more in depth.
Story
The game opens with Cecil Harvey, commander of the Red Wings, air Force of the kingdom of Baron. They have just forcefully taken the Water Crystal of Mysidia, and Cecil is reflecting on his decisions. They are attacked by monsters (which the wreck with fire and lightning) and then they land in Baron. The king takes the Crystal, leading Cecil to question the king's motives. The king strips Cecil of his command, and he sets off the next day with Kain Highwind towards the village of Mist.
I won't go more in depth on the story (for spoiler reasons,) but I must say, it is finely done. The transition between events is amazing, and the events themselves are, too. I have played through this game a total of four times, and am playing it a fifth. But I never get tired of the story.
Characters
The characters in this game are very memorable. You have a huge cast of playable party , and I believe this is the first game that has Cid as a playable character (I might be wrong, please don't be triggered if I am.) Here are summaries of some of my favorite characters of the game.
Cecil
The main character himself. Cecil was commander of the Red Wings, but stripped of his command after his mission to Mysidia.
Kain Highwind
Your dragoon character if the game, as well as Cecil's best friend. He is cursed by Golbez for like, half the game, so he doesn't really make an appearance in battle except for early game and endgame.
Golbez
Your main villain of the game, Golbez is a powerful sorcerer who was placed in command of the Red Wings after Cecil was relieved.
I would do more characters, but I'm worried about this being too long a read for everyone. *Sigh*
Gameplay
This game's gameplay is a bit iffy for me. While it is the first game in the series to use the ATB gauge, it also requires a LOT of grinding. Not much else to say on this one.
Other Details
Oh. My. God. The music in this game is AMAZING. It always finds its way into my head someway or another, and I find myself humming it often too. I keep returning to it a lot, and I listen to it sometimes too.
With that, I hope you enjoyed this semi-lengthy read. If you enjoyed this review, please let me know in the comments and I'll do more of them!
