About

Thanks to globalization, the internet and a plethora of books it‘s easy to access knowledge from around the world and getting absorbed in theory. But Magick isn‘t called a practice for nothing. It involves a practical aspect! We read about herbs and trees and flowers and reaearch about correspondences and then are often confronted with the problem of aquiring those sometimes exotic plants. Why not turn the whole thing around and first look at what is available at your doorstep and what you could use it for? This challenge is all about getting outside and exploring your local plant life!

✿ Are you already familiar with the plants growing near your home? Have you ever worked with any of them? ✿

✿ Where do you think will be the spot for you to go explore? ✿

✭The Challenge✭

Grab your phone or field guide for plants or whatever you need to help you identify some plants! Choose a place you can explore. Be it your backyard, a field, a forest, a park, a public garden or wherever plants a growing. Go for a walk and have a look around. Enjoy your time outside and guide your attention to your surroundings. What plants are growing around you? Are you able to identify them? Are you drawn to a specific plant? Let your intuition guide you and don‘t forget to snap some pictures! After you’re done exploring, choose at least one of the plants you found and research it‘s correspondences and possible uses. Feel free to research as many plants as you want!
