Listen to these old tales
and tell me the stories
that they told.

I was scrolling through my drafts
and I found this one. I don't really
write sonnets, but anyway, here it
is!
P.s. I'm still on my writing vacation
so... yeah... peace out!~
P.p.s. This was also something that
I should have posted on October,
but I guess I forgot about it...

How lovely, all of those old English isles,
Temperate are they, and oh so soothing,
With refreshing air that goes on for miles,
And with tales of death that's just as charming,
Forlorn lovers, of their strings that were cut,
Young heirs that could only trust skulls of old,
Fair Verona and the Baskerville's mutt,
And the queen with bloody garments, I'm told,
And let's not forget the fae of lost love
Or people frightened by the old church grim,
Old England's tales, as spoken by the dove,
Beautiful melody, or haunting hymn?
I hope one can learn from this poetry,
A little, a lot, or to some degree.
