Raichu Reimagine Entry

Hello everyone!

I saw this little event going on and decided to it as I really enjoy Pokemon. :D

Overall I spent 12 hours on this piece. 3 went to traditional drawing as I found it a challenge to try and keep it looking like Raichu, but be more water looking. The other 9 went to digital. I draw with my finger on a small phone digitally. It takes forever. But I am proud of the end result. ^^

This was a lot of fun but unfortunately I'm running out of time, so this is the final result. :3

Mizuchu is a water variant of Raichu. It lives primarily near the oceans in a small colony. They are notorious for having bad attitudes, and have been seen destroying boats if they go near their territory when they have offspring.

These water Rodents are swift swimmers. They use their long tails as a propeller, and can swim faster than a Moto Boat.

MizuChu can be spotted collecting shiny objects or rocks during a low tide. They use these to make their nesting spots look bigger and shinier. Many speculate this is how they show their rank amongst each other. Whoever has the biggest nest, usually is lead. This results in many challenges amongst the colony.

Shiny:

Shiny MizuChu's have striking similarities to Raichu. It's believed due to rising ocean levels in the region, Raichu took on a water form, to adapt better.

MizuChu and Raichu:

MizuChu are a bit taller than Raichu, and pack a much more powerful punch then their electric companions. In order to dig up the Ground, this water variant have more claw like hands, and Sharp nails on there feet.

Their paws and feet are also webbed to improve swimming in the water.
