Before yall claim im discriminating against the lgbt people, im literally in lgbt, as an asexual.
So whenever a lgbt character gets thrown into a show, its out of nowhere and its extremely forced, and can sometimes just mess with the plot in a bad way.
For example: in the series "the 100" the main character, whos name i forgot, went from kissing guy after guy to all of the sudden falling in love with a girl for i think the rest of the series, not sure tho, cus i needa catch up on it.
But that does seem a bit forced imo.
And a lot of them will do it as a cheap way to try and not seem homophobic, which in my opinion, is a scummy thing to do. Not having gay people in your show doesnt make the show homophobic.
But if daron is simply throwing an lgbt character in the show for the sake of having an lgbt character in the show, i really dont want it, but if she can do it like steven universe and integrate it well into the actual plot, and make it make sense, then sure, im all for it.
And sorry if i hurt anyones feelings but the series is called unpopular opinions for a reason.
But who knows maybe im just ignorant, but if i am pls actually point out the problem instead of having a seizure on your keyboard.
If you have any unpopular opinions that you would like featured in this series, comment them on my unpopular opinions series wiki

I agree. I think that (not always) sometimes they throw in an lgbt character to make it popular
VOLTRON S8 SPOILERS BE WARNED YALL: ok so VLD did around the same thing w Shiro and his husband. Like, they just threw this random ass guy in there JUST for him to have a MLM kiss scene like?? he had like one (1) line in the entire show. Thats an example of throwing LGBT in there to be progressive uwu. But I do see Tom, Jackie, or Janna possibly having an arc because it would suit them so
Also im back from the ded haha

Aaaa nice
I think having LGBT character would fine, if the character is good and isn’t just there to be LGBT.
I don’t think it should really matter if the character ends up lbgt...
I think it’s unnecessary, and I don’t see why it matters either way.
