In these lyrics, Rosé seems to be talking about a lost relationship. The type of relationship that ended even before the official break up.

She says how she wishes that her lover ed her, the way she does. That they longed and sobbed about the lost relationship like she does. But it seems like they have already moved on and that hurts a lot. It makes you feel a little worthless, like you and all the time spent together was for nothing, like it all meant nothing.

She further adds that she fairly cannot blame her lover to move on. It's not a crime to fall out of love with someone. "You were already lost", this lyric furthers the point about the relationship being a lost cause. She can't blame her lover for not trying or for moving on because everything they had withered ages ago and watering it, to save it would only waste the water. Only waste more time. Only hurt more.

O2⠀⠀//⠀⠀part⠀⠀two⠀⠀! :ribbon:

In these lyrics, Rosé seems to be talking about how much the sudden end of it all has left her sad and bewildered. She seems to be questioning everything.

Rosé talks about how she had so much faith in the connection between them. To her it's nonsense that they ended. All she knew was that they were soulmates, that this person was the one. This was her forever. But for her partner, it was a different stroy, for them this relationship had no hope. They had ended this relationship ages ago, they were ready to pack up and move on.

The next two lyrics further push the perspective of this making no sense to her. The end of this relationship was a total surprise to her. The "hit-and-run" proves the point of it being a sudden doom on her. Like you are walking, living your life and then suddenly a car rushes into you, threatening all the plans and dreams you had. She is mourning the lose of something so perfect and she has to do it all alone because her (ex) partner doesn't share the same amount of sadness.

In these lyrics, Rosé talks about the sadness that has engulfed her & her surroundings after the person walked out. She can't get past the emptiness.

Even though it was a total surprise for her and it all seemed like nonsense, she says she can't be too surprised, for her it's another end, another goodbye. At the end of the day, it's again the repetitive pattern of heartbreaks. it's just "another sad story."

She talks about how much pain these repetitive pattern causes for her. And her partner's casual move on from her crashes her down further more. She can't believe that it ended so easily for her partner. She repetitively asks them, if they can finally feel the same pain she does.

She further adds that she can't believe that such immense sadness and doom was brought on her by this person of everyone. The lyric "You had to be the one to let me down", has a little sarcastic / accusatory tone of, "Really? You? Of all people that could hurt me, you?" She trusted this person with heart and everything. She seems to be betrayed that so much hurt and pain was caused by them. "Blue" is a colour that is often associated with sadness, so she talks about being painted in sadness, drowning in it.

In these lyrics, she talks about slowly growing further away from the love she felt before. She feels nothing for them anymore.

She talks about the suffering she felt because of this betrayal has caused her love to vanish away slowly. She now feels hate. The resentment she felt because of the sudden abandonment has grown so much that it is basically hatred now. She hates this person.

She was left all alone by this person, out of nowhere. The more she stands there longing for the person to come back, the more lonelier it gets. She talks trying to find some meaning in anything that was left behind. She is trying to find some meaning or purpose in what just happened but she got nothing. All the time together, the relationship the memories, the dreams, the future plans it all feels like nothing now. She doesn't even feel sadness or pain anymore.

In these lyrics, Rosé seems to be talking about trying to move on cause the situation right now that she finds herself in is just so alien.

She finally says something that in line with moving on. "Pack my bags and go" seems like the push to the right direction of leaving everything sad and broken behind, packing the good lesson and leaving with a better version of yourself.

She further adds how being stationary at a place which hurts you, does more harm than good. She talks about once the relationship that felt like everything, like perfect, doesn't feel like "home" anymore. Home is a place where one feels most comfortable and open. A relationship should be like home, should be comfortable, loving, open, etc but this doesn't feel like it anymore, so she wishes to leave and move on.

Rainbow is often associated with "new beginnings." A popular quote with that sentiment is "You have to go through the strom to see the rainbow at the end." Rosé talks about how this doesn't feel like it at all. End of something toxic / damaging should be freeing and refreshing. But that's not what Rosé is feeling, she isn't feels used. The strom did nothing but violate her emotions. The toxic environment / end did so much damage that expectation of the new beginning (rainbow) feels almost mocking.

⠀⠀⠀ᨦ⠀ ⠀⠀ֵ⠀⠀⠀ the very first time. It's a lil short &

⠀⠀⠀ᨦ⠀ ⠀⠀ֵ⠀⠀⠀ simple since it's my first :3

I was standing by the window of my apartment, watching the city of Seoul that was engulfed in the night lights. It looked so beautiful and I was occupied with the iring, when suddenly, my phone goes off, indicating I was receiving a call. I check and It was my manager, I pick up and answer, "Hey, manager - nim." My manager replies, "It's time!! I am in the studio with the social media management department and the Gone MV will come out in exactly 5 mins!!", Excitement for the release clearly visible in her voice. That gets me excited as well, "omg, thanks for the reminder, I'll set up laptop too, right now!!" She replies with, "yes, yes, call you later, bye." With that she ends the call.

I quickly rush to my desk, pick up the laptop and then hurriedly make my way to my bed. I open my laptop, doing everything in a rush, since I don't wish to miss the timing and make sure to watch the MV with all my blinks. As I go on Youtube and click on the 'premiere' that popped up, I go into a countdown. "Only 2 minutes to go!" I say out loud, counting down with the countdown and in my head, with numerous blinks.

I say along the countdown, "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, GO." And there it was. The music I have heard thousand of times, plays again. As my eyes watch the dresses, aesthetics and everything, all the memories flood back in. The days spent writing, composting, singing the song and the day spent filming the MV and everything about it fills my head. It feels so magical to finally see the whole of the song in front of my eyes. All the of the wait ever, finally proving to be worth it.

As the MV closes towards the end, I open up the comments and it was a mix of so many emotions. Some praised my vocals, some were in awe of the aesthetics, some related to the lyrics. One thing that was in common were the thoughts that the song and MV is so emotional.

And I agree, 'the song is so dear to me', I think as I look back at the time in my life where I was living this song. "I made it past everything, everything makes sense now." I say as I scroll further in the comments, I see people expressing how this song helped them with a rough break up they are going through and how they relate to it and find so much comfort in it.

And that was the best part. Not that I'm happy about what happened but atleast it wasn't all as useless and waste of a time as it once seemed to be. I made so many souls happy with my song and that's worth so much.

As I was rolling in my thoughts, my phone rings again. It was again my manager, I pick and the first thing I hear is a scream of joy. "ROSÉ!! did you see it? it looks so good and you looks so beautiful, omg." I reply, "Yes, yes, I saw the MV. It turned out so good and every seems so hapoy with it!" And the call went on for a few more minutes as I talked to and thanked everyone in the studio.

After a few mins, my phone filled up with notifications, my family, my girls, my friends, my fans, everyone just congratulating and complementing me. That made me so happy. "I'm so glad I decided to make this song and share my experience."
