I've always been magical,
But never learned how.
I was a flower in the wall,
Until you pulled me out.
You crowned me,
You called me queen.
When I was blinded
By the light of your moonbeams.
That light is still blinding,
And your voice is haunting,
As I share in your pain,
But know we'll never be the same.
The things we share,
And the ways we relate,
Still don't compare
To your soothing grace.

Still, I am magical.
Though I still don't know how.
But it shows in the hall
Which I gracefully walk down.
It shows in the serenity
I bring to those in need.
In music, when you dance with me,
Adjusting to your heartbeat.
When the night brings fear
And you're unsure of what you hear,
I'll kneel beside your ear
And whisper "I am here.
With me you are safe,
In my heart you hold a place
Where no one else can reach
And covers to crawl underneath."

For you tell me I am magical,
Though I doubt I'll ever know how.
I know I'm quite theatrical,
But there's no need to bow.
After all, I'm nothing special.
I'm just like all of you.
I'm no angel or a devil,
I'm just unsure what to do.
I've been put upon this pedestal,
Where I really don't belong.
The sun, now he's incredible.
I just his light on.
So I try to be the best I can be,
And hope you like what you see.
For though you say I'm shining bright,
I think I'm just reflecting light.
