I believe he was hit over the head and then given Zolpidem to “completely” kill him. Due to only seeing some of the autopsy results, it’s impossible to determine his actual cause of death. He may have even been shot or drowned. No one knows.

Pichit and Minami are friends. When Minami was upset about the case and leaving the police force, his friend Pichit filmed a video to cheer him up (of course that went viral and he became an Internet sensation).
The famous detective that Pichit is rumored to like is Yuuri Katsuki.
One night Yuuri and Pichit we’re walking home with groceries when Yuuri was being kidnapped. Being at the wrong place at the wrong time, Pichit ended up getting killed while trying to help Yuuri.
Michele is known to not like any of Sara’s lovers (Viktor, Christophe and Pichit). It was good for him when Pichit died, because then he had rid the world of one of Sara’s lovers. In the tunnel/sewers it sounded like someone was shot and killed, that may have either been Christophe or Viktor.
Sara seeks attention, that’s another reason why she always has a man on her arm. Seeing as she was the first to be kidnapped, she was in on the whole plan. She would then be “a survivor of a kidnapping” and have more attention and fame than she already did.
When Seung-gil explained to Minami that Minami himself was the culprit, he was basically telling Minami that he was framing him for his crime. Seung-gil didn’t want to be in Yuuri’s shadow. If Yuuri was gone and off the case then Seung-gil could say that he solved the mystery all by himself and he could hog all the glory sending Minami to jail. His only problem is there is no evidence. Although DNA was found, what’s stopping that DNA from being his, Michele’s or Sara’s?
All the time that Seung-gil is saying that Minami is jealous of others, he never once says/mentions that Minami wants a relationship with Yuuri.
It’s only obvious that Seung-gil is involved, because Minami sayd that he’d been making careless mistakes and tampering with evidence. Just like Michele, how did he know where his sister went missing and how come he “coincidentally” happened to step all over the evidence?
I think everything is connected to Yuuri. It was probably Seung-gil who had the idea first and then Michele and Sara kinda ed his scheme. Pichit was collateral damage.
How was the kidnapping done?
Nothing suggests that all the victims were drugged, all you know is Pichit was. Yuuri is convinced that he has been drugged but I don’t think so. I’m sure Yuuri was hit over the head and knocked out that way, just like all the other victims. The victims were then dragged through man-holes in the city and talken into the sewers where they were then tied up.

The main thoughts about Pichit being Minami’s friend, Michele wanting revenge on Sara’s lovers and Sara seeking fame and attention in theory 1 are the same as theory 2. The only difference is Pichit’s role and death.
Seung-gil and Pichit were lovers. Seung-gil was still behind all the kidnappings. One evening when they were on a date, they happened to witness the kidnapping of Yuuri. Pichit wanted to help but seeing as Seung-gil was already involved, he couldn’t risk being caught. Interns Pichit had to die, because he had “seen too much” and he would blow the whole operation up in smoke.

The motives for all characters stay the same, but Pichit’s death was diffeeent. Seeing as he was Minami’s friend, if Minami were in jail then Pichit would want to bail him out. But if that happened then Seung-gil would be screwed so he killed Pichit so he wouldn’t talk.
In all honesty I think theory 1 is the most likely that happened. I go with theory 1 as it gives more of an explanation. Pichit liking Yuuri and why Pichit showed up dead where Yuuri was taken.
