Inside Out X Yuri!!! on ICE

Have some crossover with YoI and the movie "Inside Out" by Pixar!

Sweetest interview with me, and I will never get over it or stop freaking out. Oh no. And THANK YOU SO MUCH AGAIN, OMG! :sob: :sob: :sob:

During that she asked me if I could create an crossover artwork with "Inside Out", and here is the product of this work. I hope it's enjoyable, even when you aren't familiar with the movie. So here you go!

And here is my reasoning behind the roles:

Why Viktor is Joy:

It's clear that Viktor also has his sad and rather depressed sides, but at least in front of others he is mostly smiling, trying to show his best side especially in front of the media, causing all his fans to smile as well.

But aside from that, his smiles are genuine and plenty when being around Yuuri. He helped Yuuri to cheer up and go forward again as well, and who doesn't know and love his adorable heart shaped smiles! \(^ :heart: ^)/

This childish man is truly such a sunshine at times.

Why Yuuri is Sadness:

Our poor little Yuuri had to go through some pretty hard things, like losing his beloved poodle and mes so badly at the Grand Prix Finale at the beginning of the anime, his first time skating on the same ice as Viktor, his idol.

We saw the Japanese crying more than once because of being frustrated and sad, and the series started off with him being quite depressed and feeling like giving up and hiding as well. The choice of his clothes is also based on that time.

(...and well, both Joy and Sadness went through some stuff together in the movie, which is honestly another reason for my choice as well. They simply have such a special connection~ :heart: )

Why Yuri is Disgust:

Do I even have to explain this? XD

I mean, we all know how Yuri behaves, clearly showing when he isn't fond of whatever or even when he is disgusted by someone or something. He also sticks his tongue out in disgust at times and doesn't hesitate to show his disapprovel. No one is safe from the Russian Tiger's judgement.

"Oh my God, don't annoy me again and be disgusting somewhere else please."

Why Yakov is Anger:

...again, is an explanation even necessary? :joy:

I think Yakov is the champion of losing it and screaming around, but who can blame him when you consider who his students are? Poor man...

"Vitya, enough of your bullshit."

And why JJ is Fear:

It was actually pretty hard to decide who should take this place, but in the end I chose JJ. May seem strange, but I think it fits after all.

His fear of not being good enough and his mental image of the other's judging gazes caused him to mess up in the Grand Prix Finale. This anxiety crushed his moment he trained for all year, and the pressure was simply too overwhelming.

So here you have JJ, still trying to impress with his smile, trademark handsign and shiny costume, but nevertheless being absorbed by his fear.
