Hello everyone. This week we have some great Art tips for you!

This week I have a few more tips!

• :cherry_blossom: :rose: Sometimes it's easy to get stuck doing on type of art, whether that be drawing people and not backgrounds, or digital and not traditional. This is perfectly fine, and often it can be most satisfying to work with a favourite medium. Naturally, we're always learning and adapting within our choice of medium, but it can be helpful to experiment with something quite different than what we're used to. For example, trying traditional art if one is a digital artist, or drawing a detailed background in which the characters are not the main focus of one is used to drawing detailed characters and simpler backgrounds. This can be done in so many ways; feel free to get creative! :rose: :cherry_blossom: •

• :cherry_blossom: :rose: Sometimes the hardest part of creating an art piece is getting started, trying to figure out what to draw and how exactly to draw it. I've found that if I'm trying to force it, the ideas are as stuck as hardened maple sap. It can be helpful to make note of ideas that you'd be excited to work with as they come. It's a lot easier to draw something that one is interested in than drawing just to make something. Also, it can be helpful to find what conditions you work best with, such as listening to music, turning on nature sounds, or working in a certain room. :rose: :cherry_blossom: •

• :rose: :cherry_blossom: Sometimes when I badly want to finish a piece, I put a lot of effort into the beginning, then get tired toward the end. Unfortunately, this often makes the finishing touches of my work sloppy. Even though it's tempting to muscle on, taking a break can be very valuable. It can be a good idea to come back when one feels ready to put more effort into the end than the beginning. It's much more difficult to "undo" and redraw sloppy work later. :rose: :cherry_blossom: •

1.Just draw, nonstop.

The more you draw the more you’ll improve.Trust me.

2. Look at other people’s drawings.

Looking at other’s drawings can help you learn a lot. Like how to shade and highlight or also find better brushes (for digital artists)

3. Draw from drawings.

This is something I used to do. I used to draw other artists works and it helped me a lot.At least for me

4.TikTok videos

Sometimes im on my fyp and an art tip appears, and trust me they really helps. Some of the videos show you how to do eye shapes, body or face shapes, others teach you how to shade and highlight, others show you how to draw hair and there’s even more!

sometimes it can be really difficult to find inspiration for drawing, but there's so much you can do to help inspire you!

-listen to music. a lot of times basing a drawing off a song can really help get you going. (plus it's tons of fun!)

-return to old media or watch/read/play something new! this has helped me a lot recently and rewatching some of my favorite shows has been really useful.

-redraw old drawings! always good to see your progress and it keeps you drawing, even though it's not a new concept!

-take a break! it's not something everyone wants to hear, but sometimes you just need a breather from art and that's totally okay.

-draw your emotions! feeling your feelings is important and it's a great way to vent. also it's really easy to just run wild when you're not drawing anything in particular haha

-when you ARE feeling inspired or you have an idea, make sure you write stuff down in put it in a list. even if it's a mundane thought, it can be really useful to have a list of things to draw when you're down in the dumps.

best of luck! hope this is useful :) xx
