On Thursdays, I like to do tutorials, supply reviews, and crafts, and this Thursday is a tutorial!
One of the Inktober prompts on Curry's art store's list was "teeth," which was perfect for a negative space animal illustration, so I took the opportunity to film this as a tutorial. If you're interested in giving it a watch, I discuss tips and tricks on negative space techniques, both specifically for animal illustrations, and also for broader use in the rest of your artwork.
These drawings can be great practise for realism, and for understanding anatomy and structures, whether your ultimate goal is realism or not. And of course, they make interesting pieces all on their own!
