This version of Usapyon is used for both my Yo-kai Watch AU and for roleplaying. Additional information apyon will be added whenever I come up with something and if I ever feel like adding it.

Appearance

Usapyon's appearance is just the Emperor Mode form. Red armor, teal-green cape, smoky-looking dark maroon tail resembling a burning flame, and his helmet being filled with black smoke, with only his pink eyes being visible. The visor for the helmet is surprisingly pretty durable and can be opened and closed, and his suit overall is durable. His pink eyes have an eyelash-like spike, and they don't appear in most, if not all of his expressions except for his neutral expression. Since only his eyes are visible, you wouldn't know if he's even smiling or not.

The buttons on the bottom of his helmet open the visor just so he can eat and drink and it can obviously be closed. The buttons at the top of his helmet however? You can't push them, they're just there.

Of course, he's obviously small as well. He'll probably be a little surprised to see if there's a Yo-kai who is smaller than him to the point where he actually has to look down to look at them rather than looking at a someone who is almost or exactly his height, or is just very tall compared to him.

If his suit is entirely removed, it'll be revealed that Usapyon is entirely made out of smoke. You may think that his ears were just a suit thing, but he does have those exact ears. Oddly though, the same goes for his tail which is covered up by a dark maroon color which will only disappear if a certain part of his suit is destroyed.

Just because his body is made out of smoke doesn't mean stuff can go through or you can use a fan to get rid of him. Doing something like punching him will still feel like you're actually punching someone. He also bleeds as well, his blood being purple instead of red.

Personality

Just like back when he was a human, Usapyon is someone who is often calm, serious and kind. He is also energetic and goofy at times, making him somebody who is either fun or annoying to be around at times. Usapyon can make himself look like a reliable ally with how brave he is, but there are times where he can be quite fearful. Even if he's horrified, he won't let himself back down. Usapyon started off as a bit of a coward, especially when he's in dark areas alone where there's potential danger. He isn't the brightest and may not be that smart even though he was a college student. Usapyon doesn't have a short temper as well, but that doesn't mean you should go off and try to piss him off.

He likes meeting new people since for a lot of his life as a Yo-kai, he has been lonely. It's very easy to befriend him and he does not want to see anyone he considers a friend to become his enemy.

When he's alone and has nothing to do, he would sometimes visit Mount Wildwood, Gourd Pond Park, and Excellent Tower. There are times where he won't do this, probably because he's not in the mood to do that.

Biography

Before Usapyon became a Yo-kai, he was a college student in BBQ named Aisuru Kōun (his name means "Beloved Luck" or "Lucky to Love"). He didn't speak like how people spoke in BBQ because he was raised by a family who were from Springdale that eventually moved to BBQ and during the time they first moved, Aisuru was just about to start his first year of high school. He had an interest in manga and video games, but he didn't let that distract him when he had to focus on things that were important. Unfortunately, Aisuru died years later when he was in college at BBQ and became a Yo-kai named Usapyon. When he became a Yo-kai, everything connected to his death was erased from his memories. Wanting to go back go Springdale, Usapyon went into plane full of people. Since he's a Yo-kai, nobody could see him which made things easy.

Before he was sent to the real world after being killed, Aisuru was a spirit in line waiting to be named to become a Yo-kai. When it was his turn, information about Aisuru was looked at along with a list of names to give him. It was thought that the name of an American Yo-kai would suit him since he died in BBQ and the fact that he really liked living there, even going through the effort on learning how to learn to speak like the people in BBQ (he wasn't that good at it). Eventually, the name Usapyon was chosen, his name no longer being Aisuru Kōun. The results were different though, his appearance being that of the Emperor Mode state, which was strange considering that no Usapyon should start off like that, especially with it being a mode whenever an Usapyon's rage peaks. The inside of Usapyon's suit is far more strange, his body being made entirely out of smoke, not to mention that his death is also said to be unknown, which made Usapyon surprised that information about his death was unable to be obtained. For now, Usapyon doesn't bother questioning it as he then has his picture taken for his Yo-kai medal. Usapyon struck a pose for his picture, a pose he was actually happy with. His medal was then made and he was free to go back to the real world. Once Usapyon was sent to the realm of the living, everything went black before he suddenly woke up on the ground.

Right now, Usapyon lives in an apartment in Shopper's Row. The apartment room he's in is dirty, smells bad, has no lights, and it only has a mattress that Usapyon himself brought in. He'll bring in books with him from time to time. The books he has can be seen stacked up at the corner of the apartment room.

Power

Having a small body means having small arms and legs, but that doesn't stop him from being kind of strong. The punches he can land could be a little more powerful than you might think, but if you're a lot more stronger than him, it should be an easy win.

Usapyon is quite agile as he's able to move very quickly which is helpful in dodging attacks if he's given enough time to react. Speaking of dodging stuff, he has good reaction time as well. Not insanely good, just... good.

He can also jump pretty high. Usapyon can jump from the ground to the roof of a small house. Shooting his blaster from a high enough place can give him the advantage if his opponent has no way to reach him.

His endurance is pretty good as well as Usapyon is able to get up and/or remain conscious even if his injuries are severe.

Equipment

Blaster

A blaster that he almost always uses during fights he's in, but there are times where he can't use it. It can deal more damage than some or most physical attacks that have a lot of force put into them, and he's someone who likes to be a ranged attacker, but he also likes being a physical fighter as well.

He always carries it with him, and if he loses it or it breaks, it'll make him upset knowing that he can't get a new blaster since he has no money. This will put him at a disadvantage in battle with no weapon, so he'll have to find another ranged weapon or maybe even a melee weapon.

He can unleash his Soultimate with the use of his blaster called Imperial Beam. It's powerful, but he has to use it wisely.

Suit

The suit he always wears like how he is always seen with his blaster with him. Without it on, he'll feel more pain from attacks considering that he has no protection on. He wants to know if there's any way for his suit to be upgraded so that it's only purpose isn't to protect him and make him look... naked.

• He wants to pilot a giant robot some day.

• Before Usapyon became a Yo-kai, he didn't believe in Yo-kai, but he never made fun of anyone who believed in them. "If you believe in something, believe it," which is something he would say. When he became a Yo-kai, he was surprised to learn that Yo-kai do exist.

• Usapyon has fear of spiders.

• Usapyon wants to wear plenty of outfits he can wear over his suit, but he can never find the right one that both fits and looks good, perhaps even stylish.

• Considering that he is in the 'Emperor' Mode state, it would be fitting for him to become an Emperor of something at some point.

• His blaster seems to never run out of ammo and overheat no matter how much he uses it.

• To obtain his Yo-kai Medal, Usapyon has to trust you fully. This might be easier to do than you think. He doesn't require certain things, so do anything to build up his trust and make him become your friend, even something as simple as having a conversation with him.

• You could say that an Emperor Mode Usapyon medal already exists, but considering that he may as well be considered a "unique" Usapyon, he was allowed to have an entirely new and different medal.

• Recovering memories of the day of his death doesn't seem to be possible, even if a Yo-kai like Vacuumory attempts to recover it. There has to be something that can succeed in doing that, but what...?

• He doesn't mind fighting alone, but he finds it more fun to team up with someone during a battle.

• When it comes to using the Crank-a-kai, he's always unlucky. There are times where he sets Yo-kai free from their capsules, but most of the time, he gets pointless items he has no use for. There are times he'll free a Yo-kai from a capsule, something that makes him proud.

• Usapyon's horrible at cooking. Because of this, expect the food to either be awful or have a fire suddenly happen. There is also a chance that an explosion might happen, so please make sure to have him make something simple like a sandwich.
