Before starting I have to warn you that this is a discursive long post.

So, I wish you a good reading if you decide to try your hand at this post! :page_with_curl:

1) INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone! 🏻

In today's post I'm going to take you on a journey through the data, more specifically through records/software/steps, that my Nintendo has accumulated over the course of 10 years. :keycap_ten: :leftwards_arrow_with_hook:

2) MY STEPS THROUGHOUT THE YEARS

2015: 14.718 steps

2016: 16.315 steps

2017: 50.864 steps

2018: 32.503 steps

2019: 5.694 steps

2020: 29.251 steps

2021: 11.311 steps

2022: 30.727 steps

2023: 51.217 steps

2024: 60.438 steps

2025: 11.612 steps (so far)

Before I got the Nintendo I had already seen from friends of mine that doing the steps was important in order to get coins to play Street Mii Plaza. So, right from the start, I knew I had to do the steps if I wanted to play that game. :walking: 🏻‍♀🪙

Honestly, I have three techniques for taking steps: walking, shaking the Nintendo, and walking while shaking the Nintendo (this last technique is the one I use the most).

As a child I wanted to try to make as many coins as possible every day, which is why steps are also marked in the years before 2015. It was because I wanted to make more than 10 coins per day. :moneybag:

After a while, however, I realized that it wasn't right to change the date just to obtain extra coins and so I stopped doing it. ⏸

3) THE MOST PLAYED SOFTWARE THROUGHOUT THE YEARS

2015: Pokémon Alpha Sapphire→ 30:33 hours

2016: Pokémon Alpha Sapphire→ 236:25 hours

2017: Pokémon Sun→ 114:18 hours

2018: YouTube→ 356:53 hours

2019: Yo-kai Watch 3→ 134:00 hours

2020: Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters→ 140:10 hours

2021: Yo-kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters→ 37:17 hours

2022: Xenoblade Chronicles 3D→ 55:13 hours

2023: Deep Labyrinth→ 54:38 hours

2024: Yo-kai Watch Blasters: Red Cat Corps→ 76:42 hours

2025: Miitopia→04:25 hours (so far)

Honestly, as a child I played a lot without ever thinking about how much time I actually spent on the console (those were really good times 🥲).

Now, however, I check more often how much time I spend on games. ⏱

8) THE STORY BEHIND MY FIRST GAME

There is actually a peculiar story behind my first actual Nintendo game.

When I received my Nintendo I of course wanted to play as soon as possible.

They gave me "Lego Friends" game with my 3DS but I decided to immediately try other functions, such as the camera or Street Mii Plaza, before playing the game. In the meanwhile my parents put all the other presents in a bag (and also the game card).

When we returned home I was still trying other functions but at some point I wanted to play the game they gave me but... Well... I couldn't find the game card anymore...

I was sure that it was in the bag with the other presents but I couldn't find it. So... For months I continued to play with my brothers' DS game cards until my birthday arrived.

On that day my classmate gave me "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire" and so that game became my first game (because all the other games, that we had at home, were of my brothers) and also it was the first 3DS game that I've ever owned.

But you know, it's weird to think that "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire" is my first game when "Lego Friends" is the actual one.

More or less 2 years ago I finally found that game card again (but honestly I don't exactly where I found it, surely it was while we were cleaning the house) but actually I have to confess that I still never opened that game, in fact it still has that plastic cover.

Now I ask you: Do you think I should open "Lego Friends"? Or by "tradition" should I leave it closed?

9) THE FIRST AND LAST SOFTWARE ON MY LIBRARY

(Obviously I don't own all the games that are in the library because some are from the Nintendo eShop and others were lent to me by some of my friends)

The first software is "System Settings":

Most probably this was the first software I used because, once I received the Nintendo, I wanted to make sure perhaps that the time or language was in order.

The last software is "Yo-kai Watch Blasters: White Dog Squad":

Last summer I had managed to play together with some friends and one of them had "Yo-kai Watch Blasters: White Dog Squad" among the various game cards. Since I didn't have that version of Yo-kai Watch, I had asked him if I could put the card in my Nintendo, so that I would at least have the satisfaction of having ed that game in the Activity Log library (so, unfortunately I don't actually have that game card yet).

11) BONUS: WHERE DOES THE IDEA OF THIS POST COME FROM?

Initially this idea was supposed to be the OffTopic post of 31st December 2024. In the first draft I was supposed to show just the steps I did throughout the years that I owned the Nintendo. :walking: 🏻‍♀ :video_game:

But then I realized that with the fact of the "10-year anniversary of my Nintendo" I could make a slightly more intriguing post (instead of just showing the steps).

12) CONCLUSION

Thank you very much for your patience in reading the post all the way through!

I hope you were interested to see the Nintendo data of a girl who is ionate about videogames. :four_leaf_clover: :video_game:

Down below I leave my best wishes for my Nintendo written down. You are not obliged to read them, but in my opinion there are some things in that text that might remind you of similar experiences that you too may have had, perhaps also with other consoles.

Goodbye, and see you on the next post! 🏻 :soon:

Happy Birthday My Dear Nintendo

Happy birthday my dear Nintendo!

Seriously many best wishes!

I thank you for all these years we've spent together: playing with my brothers, playing with my friends, playing while being in the car, playing with online players, struggling to play outside with the sunlight, the late nights, the videos and photos taken of the neighbours' cats, the videos and photos taken as a kind of diary, the online friendships made thanks to your apps, the videos and cartoons we watched together, the company you've given me even during my travels and many other experiences.

I'm sorry for: all those blows you took when you fell, losing the stylus pen, the issues you have now to show properly the upper screen due to the water that once entered, your covering which is half melted due to the heat and your pad that was so worn that it fell off.

I hope you'll forgive me... But I think you understand that I always enjoyed being with you and that's why I didn't want to leave you at any time. Even though, because of my clumsiness, you unfortunately got hurt...

Even if you are not a real person, I still consider you as a dear friend who has always been close to me. A friend who in times of sadness has cheered me up and who, underneath, sometimes even made me angry, but that's how friendships work, isn't it? There can be those little lows that then improve the current condition of the friendship.

I love you my dear Nintendo, I hope we will spend a lot more time together!

What do you say, wanna have fun together with the first 3DS game we played to the old times?

You should keep Lego Friends sealed because, I can guarantee through some miracle, it'll cost a pretty penny in the future
