Shadowside Opening 2 Analysis Thingy

We're 27 episodes into Shadowside and just got a new Opening! And because I'm unoriginal I will do the exact same thing as last time!

It starts of similar to the first Opening, and with that I mean it's the exact same voice clip just with different music and pictures in the background.

It doesn't work as well as it did in the first one, but I guess they just really wanted to use this again.

Next we get some cool character cards of

Touma and Fudomyou,

Akinori and Suzaku,

and Keisuke and a bunch of other Yo-Kai that weren't important enough to get named.

Touma and Akinori try to look all cool and Keisuke is just screaming his lungs out, it's very in character.

Also there's this girl, but I think she's completely irrelevant. I mean she doesn't even have a name, poor thing!

Everyone in the main group leaves their house to meet up later on in the OP, and I'm glad to inform you that there is no lack of the best parents in this one either.

Himeno is sitting alone on a bridge(? ._.) starring into the water,

until something catches her attention and she looks up.

What is it that caught her attention? Well her friends, of course! (I honestly expected to see Haruya-)

I absolutely love how Touma didn't change his expression and pose at all between leaving his house and coming here. (':

They're just having a friendly talk, but then the screen slowly turns red.

It zooms in on Himenos reflection in the river, and we can finally see her Yo-Kai self. I was THIS CLOSE to screaming when I saw her, but I'm not sure if that was because I got excited or terrified.

In the next scene we see Shutendoji and Douketsu and Akinori, Touma, Natsume and Keisuke looking at each other, seemingly ready to fight.

The protagonists (except Keisuke, he wasn't cool enough for this) all use their Yo-Kai Watches in a really cool montage.

Then the fight actually starts, and it's really intense. Touma even uses Heaven Fudomyou.

I kinda doubt the fight will actually happen like this in the show, this could very well just be for the Intro, but who knows.

So this is one of the most interesting parts of all. It's only for some frames and I only noticed it after watching the OP for like the fifth time, but this is a younger looking Fudomyou.

I honestly have no idea what this means. Maybe we'll get a flashback/backstory episode, maybe he'll somehow loose his powers... There's a lot of possibilities.

This is most likely from Jibanyans perspective, considering how it's cut and everything, and Natsume is screaming at him. Probably something like "You can do this!" because the power of friendship conquers everything.

Jibanyan, Hyper Micchi, Komasan and Froggyjiro all punch this flying black orb thingy and it explodes with a bright flash of light.

We cut to some more character cards, this time only with Yo-Kai, and I'm really surprised to see Enma and Kaira in there. They're the only ones that aren't main Yo-Kai, maybe they will play a bigger role again soon.

The Opening ends on the gang looking at the sun, which is probably a metaphor for... something. Future, destiny, that kind of stuff.
