━ ˑ paper rings edit.

hello s&ca! so yesterday i was just kinda scrolling around amino and i came across a few editing blogs (this) that really inspired me to try out some more editing! I have done my fair share of editing, however, these types of edits are not exactly my expertise lol. I generally do profile themes most of the time, but i decided to step outside my "comfort zone" of editing and try something fairly new to me! ive done some simpler edits (shown below) but never something this complicated! i am fairly happy with how it turned out! but there is always room for improvement :).

like i said before, im happy with how this edit came out, despite it being something that im not the most experienced at. of course i am hoping to improve in this style of editing, but everybody has to start somewhere! anyway, here it is! ♡

i honestly didn't really go into this edit with any specific expectations or plans. I picked the lover aesthetic/theme pretty early on because i really love alot of the lover themed photos of taylor and just the overall vibe. i didn't even pick the lyrics out until I had phonto open, staring at the blank canvas :sob: . i finally picked paper rings because. . . well I don't know lol.

going into this edit i really didn't have that much of a plan haha. I started in picsart with a plain white background and added a couple pink overlays and stuff for depth/texture. then i added the image of taylor (after having removed its background), and gave it a border and a slight shadow. next i put the text in. I made the text in phonto and just imported it into picsart. as the edit is lover/paper rings themed, i then added a bunch of heart stickers (from the picsart sticker gallery) and just went nuts lol. I searched hearts and found some that I ended up using in the final edit. I thought the space to the left of the image of taylor seemed a lil empty so I added a few lover themed images with a polaroid looking frame around them! additionally, I added some extra stickers, like the butterflies and the stickers peeking out from under the polaroids. finally, i added my name/watermark to the bottom right corner area and added a filter in polarr! i really like using psd's, but I can't get photopea to work on my phone, so I used "fake psds" (just by searching "psd") in polarr, which give the same effect. I tested multiple filters but I didn't like how some of them made it look, but eventually i found one I liked!

and that's about it! hopefully I've been thorough and covered all my bases for this edit :). I had a great time making this edit and just being creative with it. in the (near) future I'd like to try more complex edits with many many many more stickers/decals/overlays and such!
