When you want to give up writing.

Hei guys, if you're a writter chances are you must have thought of quitting at least once (several times a day if you're as chronically insecure as I am). And if you haven't, you might have at least thought of quitting a certain novel or poem etc.

Why? Cuz Writing is a lonely job. No body is ever there with you when you're stuck for hours trying to come up with a perfect sentence that describes how you feel about a particular thing. No one is ever there when you read your work you spent months to write and throw it in the thrash cuz you think it's not good enough. No one's ever there when you cry yourself to bed cuz no one could see the beauty of what you wrote.

So why are you still writing? Why is any one still writing? Well cuz it's worth it. All that pain in worth it when you see one person glow up when reading your book, the feeling of pleasant surprise when you've finally figured out of characters and you can relate to them is worth that pain, the determination you feel to complete a book even if you think it's trash is worth that pain.

So if you're thinking of giving up or you're depressed because you think you can't write anything good. Think about why you started writing. Cuz sincerely, I don't think anything can sur the beauty of a piece of work written with all the devotion and love the author could muster.
