The littlest Piggy

Here is my entry for the #CMCFable

I hope you enjoy!

"Do you know the muffin man?" Grandfather asked Mia. She nodded yes. "Well of course you do. But have I told you the story of the three little pigs?" He asks while tucking her into bed. She nodded and sighed.

"yes grandpa, you've already told me these stories, do you have a new one?"

"Hmm," he scratches his head, "I guess I'll just make something up!" He sits down in the rocking chair at the end of the bed. The floor creaks as the chair rocks back and fourth.

"Once upon a time there were three little pigs. These are the same pigs who built the three houses. Their names were Ben, Sam, and Tim. Tim was the smallest of the pigs. His brothers would call him Teenie Timmy. They used to bully him for being the smallest.

"One day when they were older, they were I school teams and clubs. Ben ed the wrestling team, Sam ed the football team, and Tim ed the chess club. They bullied him for that too.

"While they got bruises and broken bones, the littlest piggy got smarter. When they were adults, Tim was the pig who built the house out of bricks. They said it was ugly.

"You already know what happened then, but you don't know what happened after! When the other two's houses were gone, they had to live with Tim. They constantly annoyed him and teased him about things he did. They would say 'why do you make your bed? You're just going to mess it up when you sleep.' And 'why do you cool your own food, when you can order it?'

"He never responded for he knew they would only taunt him. When they finally got their own houses, they went their separate ways. They lived how they lived, and Tim lived how he lived. Tim never went to visit him, because their houses were always messy and smelly. They always wanted to go to his house, because it was clean. And that is why you should always clean your room!"

Mia frowned "I thought the message was gonna be about them bullying him, was it not?"

Grandpa wrinkled his brow "I guess it's that too! Goodnight pumpkin" he kissed her on the head and turned out the light.
