This first image was the very first image ever drawn of Sandy and Andrew! You'll notice that Andrew is missing his glasses. I had them in the sketch, but his head is at such an angle that I was too nervous to draw them into the final.

This drawing was done back in Inktober, when my writing partner and I were walking in the brisk fall weather and wondering about our youngest Briggs child, Sandy. We had tried him with two or three girls before but it never worked out. So, after getting the news that his great uncle came out gay, we decided to give him a boyfriend.

And so, Andrew came into the picture. I knew little about this character, going into the collaboration only knowing that he's male, smart, and a bookworm. Fun, right?

With all of that said, I was immediately excited to get started with this project. Sandy has been one of my favorite characters ever since Koralynn first told me about him.

My second drawing of them is a good ionate kiss. If you've read the story, you'll learn they fall head over heels for each other pretty quickly. Lots of kisses.
