Poetry Club Application

1. Why do you want to the Poetry Club?

I would like to the poetry club because I love meeting like-minded people who love poetry as much as I do as well as for the challengers every other week. These challenges are good motivation to keep writing and I would really like to in on some.

2. What are your experiences with writing poems?

I’ve been writing poetry in my free time since I was 13 years old (I’m 19 now) and although I usually stick to free form poetry, I’ve dipped my toes a bit into other styles. Couplet, villanelle, and haiku are a few I’ve tried out.

3. Will you focus more on expanding your knowledge in regards to different poetry styles or mastering the ones you already know?

I’ll probably try to master the ones I already know because as I mentioned, even though I’m aware of them and I’ve even made a few in each style, I haven’t worked enough on them.

4. Are you aware that there might be consequences if you break the rules?

I am very aware of this and I’m going to follow the rules not only in this club but also this amino.
