Loser on Fire

~ Loser on Fire

I’m burning, fast,

light up a match and ignite me;

there's so little left of me,

this fire won't even last

watch me glow

as the heat flows,

and my body is nothing more than ashes,

watch my soul go

there is poison in my heart,

this feeling is sickening,

give me a cure,

the anxiety is crippling

my brain is slowing down,

and I’m so scared of the future,

I feel myself drown,

this is the tale of a loser!

this poem could be

about both a candle

and a poor soul who

is, ittedly, a loser

in every way possible,

aka me. Really, it’s all

up for interpretation.
