Free Verse

My Hopes For The New Year

Glitter and gold,

And stars that shine.

People who are nice,

And things that are organized.

Good between bad,

Things will be good.

Exams not failed,

And projects done early.

Homework done well,

And bullies that are nice.

Fathers that don't yell,

And thoughts that don't wander,

Knives kept in a drawer,

What else should I add?

Happiness and joy,

For the new year.
