Heartbroken

This is my entry for the #SSC13. I hope you enjoy!

"Baby, there's something I need to tell you."

"Jonathan what is it?"

"Amanda, I've been meaning to tell you this for some time."

"What's the matter Jonathan?"

"I want.... I want to break up with you."

"What??"

"You can't be serious? I mean how? After 5 years of us being together." Amanda bursts into tears. She feels agony and pain in her heart.

"Baby. Please let me explain why I'm doing this."

"Jonathan what is there to explain? Please get out and leave me alone." she shouts, trying to fight back the tears

Now this is how Amanda felt after the break up.

I loved you,

I trusted you,

I gave my heart to you,

You were the love of my life,

And I thought that you felt the same way.

But no you didn't,

You had lost your love for me,

The unconditional, the inseparable love,

You broke the promise that we had made.

As I think back to our youth days,

The day that I met you,

The day that we first kissed,

That kiss was my first ever,

You were my first boyfriend,

You broke something that I will never get back,

My virginity,

We were once one

But now we're not anymore.

The thought of it

makes me feel like my heart is being torn out of my chest,

I feel like there is a dagger in my heart,

A dagger that's stinging my heart,

And tears that sting my eyes,

And that's what I'm left with,

The result of what you did to me.
