Fire and smoke came from a wrecked ship. A gash in the earth looked like a scar. The King sent three to the crash. They brought back a human. A tall human from what we heard.

He was about 7 foot tall and had a black cloak and heavy armor, "I apologize if I interrupted anything. My hyperdrive and one of my engines was shot. I require a new ship and three million credits. If you can't, that's fine. Then I request metal," he bowed to The King.

The King smiled a little, his arms were built like tree trunks. They were built of pure muscle, "Who are you?"

"I am Michael. I am a simple merchant."

"You look like you are a warrior, no merchant," he pointed to his large sword at his hip, "Did you come for war?"

"No disrespect to your Majesty. No. This is part of my religion."

"Religion has no meaning on this world."

"Can you explain?"

"Us Giants use logic. Religion makes no sense to us and serves us no purpose."

Michael holds out a datadisk, "This proves that Demons and Angels exist. This is the Universal Codex. This details every being in existence."

He paused, "Really? Take this to the Royal Advisor."

One Giant nodded and smiled as she went to the other room. One woman came out with the disk. She was maybe 12 meters tall with dark hair. Her skin was as dark as tempered bronze and very smooth. Her eyes stood out as they were a bright purple. She was similarly strong with muscles as thick as Michael is tall

"Sir, this does have every race that is known. Including us."

"Interesting. What are you?"

"I am a mere human," he lied

"Fine, we will give you shelter and food until you can gather the materials yourself. We will not help you," The King told him.

"Fine. That's the deal," he smiled and went to a quarry for some metal.

The planet of Gia hasn't been scanned or colonized at all since the Giants distrust outsiders.

For some reason, the Royal Advisor followed.

"Michael, what are the materials for this hyperdrive?"

"Well, Zellian Steel, copper, and a specific type of crystal called a Destination Stone."

"Well, are they impure?"

"No. They're alchemically made. Destination Stones can be made from any conductive mineral like graphite or lead."

"We have plenty of lead and graphite. It's not this mine, but it's not far from here," she pointed into the distance.

He nodded and started to move towards the mine. He was very quiet, mostly staying to himself.

Off in the distance, a mechanical human waited patiently, smiling to himself.

"More skin bags. Good," he was perfectly camouflaged into the rock of the world.

Several hours later

He arrived at the mine and drew something on the ground before putting his hand in the middle. Suddenly an explosion rocked the mine, bringing up hundreds of tons of graphite and lead to where he stood.

He smiled a little, "This should be enough. Thank you."

"You're welcome," she smiled.

A blur of red streaked past their vision. Michael immediately was on guard.

"What's wrong?" She asked, confused as Michael drew his sword.

"Someone is here," he didn't sense anything but did feel like something was there.
