This is my first challenge entry and post :ok_hand:
You’re nowhere near innocent, but you’re still so oblivious.
Without realizing it, you flirt with me. Without meaning to, you look at me like we’re the only two people on Earth.
Without trying, you broke my heart.
Let’s start from the beginning. We were in fifth grade. We were getting new seats and she put me at that table where only the two of us sat. You were really nice to me.
Daniela liked you, too. ? The three of us would sit in that corner during Mrs. Becker’s class and mess around.
You were a nice guy. In that dance club (that we both were forced to be in), you could’ve hung out with someone you were friends with. But you stayed with me. When you noticed that I was struggling to find my book page, you told me how I could use the book jacket. I still use that technique.
The first day back from winter break, you didn’t talk to me. We were close, but not close enough for it not to be awkward if I was the one who started the conversation. Daniela was okay with it. She moved on quicker.
We started talking again, but it wasn’t the same. I’d insult you and you’d completely deny our friendship.
I guess I’m just a forgotten memory to you now.
