  You were like cinnamon

   Teasing with your honeyed smile

  Looking at me with eyes so kind

   Making promises of sweet life

  At first I thought of you

   As a missing ingredient

  All that my life needed

   That I longed for nothing but you

   But you were like cinnamon

   Once I let you in

   Closing my nostrils from the air

  You locked me away

   The only sweet thing

   Was the image of you

   Appearing in my dreams

   That you buried so deep

   You were like cinnamon

   Perception of you so sweet

   Yet, the moment I gave in

   You took my very last breath

   And choked me to death
