That night when I went to bed I couldn't help but think about my encounter with the creature. It had almost eaten me alive, but I had escaped. Recalling the situation only made it worse, the sobs came again, but louder this time, my partner Jase heard me crying and came into the room.
"It's okay Sylv." He ran his hand through my hair.
"You got away, you're alive, that's all that matters." He said.
"Jase... I froze with fear." I stammered.
"How is that okay?"
"Sylv please, just stop and go to sleep. I'm here, nothing with harm you."
I wasn't too sure about that, but Jase seemed confident, almost kinda well.... cocky. How I wanted to scream at him to get a grip, but I knew that wouldn't help, in fact it would probably ruin our relationship with one another.
Jase and I had never fought, well until this point anyway. When I finally had fallen asleep I could hear Jase's graceful snoring beside me, his deep breathing almost freaking me out.
