I'm gonna do a 2 in 1 and have this free day be a short chapter 8 of Witch Are You :)

Sophia laid in the bed staring up at the cold, wet, stone ceiling. She watched water drip down from a crack in the stone onto her thin pillow and land next to her right ear.
Just as another drop fell she was startled by a loud bang from behind the door of her cell. She jumped out of bed and ran to the corner of her room, knowing what was about to happen.
Exactly as she had known he would, a man burst through the door carrying a sword. Sophia curled into a ball and closed her eyes, wishing it all to just go away.
"Hello again, witch." The man said in his deep, raspy voice "Stand and look at me."
When Sophia didn't move the man walked toward her and grabbed her left arm, pulling her up. When all she did was keep her head down and her eyes closed, the man grabbed her chin and forced her to face him.
"Open your eyes, witch." He commanded
Finally she opened her eyes and looked at him. He smirked.
"You're awfully quiet today. What's wrong? Didn't sleep well? You miss having big, strong arms holding you?"
Truthfully what she had actually missed was a certain pair of small, fragile arms holding her. God's, how she missed Eralynn.
"It's okay," The man went on-he loved hearing himself talk- "I'll hold ya, babe." He grabbed her around the waist and pulled her to his chest.
She cried out as the sword he was holding cut into her back when he pulled her closer to himself.
"Let go of me!" She yelled and a sob broke through her as she spoke.
"I can't do that. You know why I'm here, witch." He told her "As soon as you show us your powers you can be left alone. You're to be executed either way, but you have some peace and quiet beforehand if you reveal your strength."
"I'm not a witch!" She sobbed "How many times do I have to tell you, you bastard!"
Sophia managed to get out of the man's grip, but just as she did she felt his hand hit her face in a hard slap. She fell to the ground and began to cry more.
"We're done for today." The man said and left, locking the door after he exited the cell.
Sophia didn't move for a while even after he left. She just laid on the floor of the cell and cried.

Fr tho, I think it would be cool to have a female knight come in. Like, wants to be a knight but can't because she's a women, yk? And if I did that I think it would be cool to make her name Penelope if you want! :)
