An unexpected downpour of rain splattered, the clouds over the sky. Everyone fled and looked for shelter. Monument of the village leader was getting wet and dark. Sibilant whispers of the deceased lingered in air as the wind blew faster. Soon enough, the street was empty, except one person.

Balthazar, the dark mage, stood in front of the monument. His ebony, elongated hair swayed ever so he stalked slowly towards the villagers home, clutching his long staff tightly. It’d be suffice to say that the look in his eye was murderous. The people in the house were breathless, rearing optimism is all that was left as the maniacal mage entered the house, his staff raised high. Thunderbolts swallowing relentlessly like an abyss of endless suffering.

The village leader and his wife cackled as malicious aura lingers over the village, the many villagers coward at the magician as underneath his feet was an venomous creature. The creature slithered towards the villagers and opened its mouth wide open to devoir them thoroughly, no trace left behind. Except the glowing energy of the villagers’ souls could be advantageous to his everlasting goal. The mage raised his staff and began to recite a spell,

“Come, covert the shapes of living, twist them til they form a person once lost, now adheres in the principals of life.”

A shadowy figure slowly formed while Balthazar stretched his arms out to the person on the floor. The figure fell to its knees as Balthazar caught them in his arms, “We’ve finally reunited, beloved sister.”

"Balthazar?" She asked dazed, "What's happening?"

The magician smiled at her, “Do not worry, for we are safe now, no one will harm you.” She stared at him and a warm smile plastered her face, "Safe?" she repeated, he nodded and helped her stand up. For now a new chapter begins.

The wind was loud, followed by the sound of people running away in fright. Fire, explosions, it was a nightmare. You watched with your coffee, an emotionless expression on your face.

“This again, huh.. how.. boring” you sigh. You were used to this ever since the moment you moved into the city, Zagan, a city located in hell.

It really was hell, the lack of hot water inhumane. Hell was also dangerous, but not for you. You missed the days when screams sounded like music to your ears. You were tired. Tired of watching them suffering. Now, it was getting boring seeing people die. You placed your hot cup on the table, you turned, right as someone entered. It was your co-worker, Alexia. Not surprisingly, she seemed upset.

"Your father called..", she spat.

Your face darkens. "Of course. What now?"

She rolled her eyes, "No idea, go speak to him.” You sigh.. speak to him? The devil himself? [c]You weren't going to do that. You already knew what he wanted.

"Is it again about overpopulation in hell?", you ask.

"Haha, very funny," she rolls her eyes, you sigh, holding your hand out and waiting for her to hand you the phone. Alexia sighed, annoyed, and gave you the phone. You took a few deep breaths before calling. You wait, your breath hitching in your throat when you hear a deep and gruff voice pick up the phone- you can barely make out a "hello"

There is a pause before he answers. "Why didn't you answer me immediately?"- you tense up at the question, how were you meant to say that you were avoiding him?

"Hello.. 'father' ", you greet quietly. You silently flinch hearing your fathers gruff voice, [c]"You couldn't have call me earlier?!", he yelled.

You pull yourself together, "you called for me first..", all you heared was silence.. followed by a loud sigh on the other side of the phone.

"Is it such a sin to want to talk to my only child and heir?" He questioned, making you grimace at the thought of you being the devil... You always loathed the thought of being in your father's shadow.

"You usually never call me, so.. This is truly surprising", you say, trying to stop yourself from being offensive.

"I just need to talk to you,"

"About what exactly?", you ask.

"Not now, we'll speak later."...he hung up...

You slightly frowned, looking at the phone.

"So..? What did he say?" Red head said.

"He told me we will speak later.."

"Sheesh.. i smell trouble."

"Shut up, Alexia", Alastor says, sighing.

"Jee, fine. Get up, we got work!"

"What work? The people are already dieing."

"Exactly.. its time to make it worse."
