Hey! So I just came back after some time and was looking through posts. Have you tried adding texture!?
You can add texture with a soft brush that's usually used for hair / fur. And you'd just do small strokes in the way you want their fur to go.

Sure thing! I recently drew my fursona earlier so I had to deal with texture.
