Let's discuss fire powers!
Main uses
Fires most popular use as a power is setting things on fire and shooting fireballs. And that's pretty cool! But it can also be extended to raising the temperature of things without flames.
Fire s are often stronger in the sunlight and can make fire take on many shapes just like water. And if they have weapons, they can engulf them in flames to make attacks more powerful. They can even make smokescreen to blind their enemies for a sneak attack or make a clever escape. Alongside this, they can create colossal explosions that can incinerate the area they're cast on depending on how powerful the is. More advanced s of magic fire can have flames so powerful that they don't go out even when doused with water!
Dark side
But the downside is that fire has to have a source to constantly keep it burning. Fire s can deplete themselves quickly if not careful. And sometimes the fire the castor creates can even burn them!
Fire is also know to very easily go out of control, making it one of the hardest to master. A fire can easily hurt friends and allies if they aren't in the right mindset.
In many areas of lore, fire can be seen as an evil power. It's usually expected that many who have these abilities had to do something for a less than favorable entity to obtain them. And since it's potential of destruction is so great, it's hard for other s to see it as anything but a power used for war.
Described in writing
Fire itself is like pure energy. It's basically alive and is written with that in mind. When being described, it's said to be able to grow and shrink and to consume and devour what it touches in flames. It constantly moves and flickers being a source of light, moving about either violently or calmly depending on how big the flames are. The bigger the flames, the more hectic it moves.
An inferno will always be radiating heat and everything around it will easily be affected as well. If there are plants nearby, expect them to wilt or for water to change in temp or even evaporate. And hopefully your has fire resistant clothes. , just because they might be immune to the fire doesn't mean their things won't get burnt or they won't feel the heat.
Flames can also be different colors! The classic orange or sometimes green or blue for chemical fires and several others! Try experimenting with different colored fires and looking up how they're caused to give your s some unique qualities!
And that concludes the fire powers post! Hopefully this will help you write your fire wizards, elementals and dragon/ Phoenix children!

This will definitely help me! Thank you~! ^w^
No problem! More powers coming soon!
That part about how losing control of your fire powers reminded me of that episode of Avatar the last Airbender, when Aang was trying to learn how to fire bend and accidentally burnt Katara.
That's a great example of how careful people with powers have to be!
Fire magic is the most popular used magic I've seen in fantasy stories! If you find this helpful or want other powers written about in depth, leave a comment!
