The campus was alive with the echoes of laughter, hurried footsteps, and the occasional rustle of pages in the library. Yet, for me, it felt quieter now. The voices that once surrounded me with warmth and chaos seemed to fade as the days ticked closer to the end. It wasn’t just the end of my degree—it was the end of an era.

Five years. Five years of bittersweet memories woven into the fabric of this place. I could still feel the adrenaline rush of late-night study sessions, the comfort of friends who became family, and the wisdom imparted by teachers who believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. This wasn’t just a university; it was my second home.

And yet, a storm brewed within me—a volcano of emotions threatening to erupt. The thought of leaving this country, these people, this life I had built, gnawed at my heart. Medical practice awaited me far from here, back in my homeland where my family eagerly anticipated my return. But how do you leave behind a piece of your soul?

I wished I could rewind time, relive every high and low, every tear and laugh. The moments that shaped me into who I am today. But life doesn’t offer rewinds—only memories to carry forward.

As I walked through the familiar corridors one last time, I realized something. This place might no longer be my present, but it would always be a part of me. The friendships forged here would transcend distance; the lessons learned would guide me wherever I went.

This wasn’t goodbye—it was see you later. Because no matter where life takes me, this second home will always be waiting in the corners of my heart.
