Maybe?

Maybe there is a world,

Just barely out of reach,

One where we are meant to be,

Like puzzle pieces that fit just perfectly,

There is that glint inside your eyes,

One that no one can deny,

Maybe there is a place,

Further away than outer space,

A place where we can finally breathe,

Where we will all finally see,

But times are rough,

We come up shorthanded; can never seem to have enough,

Maybe there is a way,

An invisible path dare I say,

When hope seems lost,

Love comes at a heavy cost,

But it is worth it with you,

You know it too,

Maybe there is a house,

Where no more trouble will arouse,

Somewhere small and tidy,

Tucked away from no more sightings,

A bridge that leads to peacefulness,

In this house filled with brightness,

There is a world where we are,

Acceptance a distant star,

There is a place covered in gray,

The lines are blurred; nothing is left to say,

There is a way that ends cold,

The way they live is trapped in old,

There is a house alone on a hill,

Always broken,

Alone,

Never to be filled,

Is it a house or is it a heart,

How can you tell when it's fallen apart,

A pile of rubble here on a hill,

One last obstacle it never could prevail.
