It'd been a while since she moved into her new house, sure it was old but it was honestly really pretty if you looked at it in a certain way. It was a Victorian-style house which made it feel a bit like a fairytale to her, the only bad part was how whenever she opened any of the doors they'd loudly creak and it really creeped her out.
Today she was home alone, her family had gone out to her older sister's volleyball game and planned on getting groceries afterward, she didn't like going to any type of sports game so she was fine with staying home anyway. She wandered around the house looking at random rooms until she saw a room that she hadn't been in before.
She opened the door and it was a walk-in closet, there were beautiful dresses and other formal outfits inside, but there was one dress that stood out to her at the end of the closet. A beautiful pink dress with ruffles and lace that had pearls and gems sewn into it. She had the urge to try it on all of a sudden, it was strange, she felt like she had to try it on. She gently grabbed the dress as she walked over to her room with it making sure that the dress didn't drag on the ground. She opened the door to her room and it made an unpleasant creak. She walked into her room and tried on the dress, it fit perfectly on her. She walked over to the mirror to see herself, the dress made her feel like a princess. She stared at herself in the mirror for a while until she started to feel a bit tired which was strange since it was the middle of the day, she sat down on the floor and rubbed her eyes keeping both of them closed.
Suddenly she felt grass beneath her, she took her hands away from her eyes and opened them to find herself in a completely different place. She looked around the unfamiliar area, it was beautiful, the trees were huge and had the prettiest little flowers on them. Each flower shaped perfectly, with not a single petal missing. It seemed to be nighttime in this strange place though, the sky was definitely prettier than usual, even though the area had many lights and lanterns around the light pollution that'd be there didn't affect the sky at all. 'But wasn't I just at home?' She thought. She felt pretty scared and confused.
"Miss, are you alright?" Said a boy around her age reaching his hand out to her to help her up, His appearance was sort of strange due to his hair, it was black with light blonde streaks in it which you don't usually see but you also don't usually get teleported to a random place after putting on a dress. "Oh! Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry." She replied as she let him help her up. The boy smiled at her. "No need to apologize, Miss. I don't think we've met before. Are you by any chance, new here?" He asked. She looked down at the ground. "Um, I guess you could say that, yeah." She said, feeling a little unsure whether or not she should be talking to this boy whom she barely knew and met in an unfamiliar place.
"Well then, I bet I should show you around! I mean, you are new here." He said whilst smiling. He patted her on the head, but she grabbed his wrist and slowly took his hand away from her. "I guess that'd be nice, I could probably find a way to get back home." She said in a more confident tone than earlier. "Alright then! Oh god, I never introduced myself. Sorry 'bout that! My name is Finn, and you?" He said as he reached his hand out to her to shake. "I'm Eliza." She shook his hand. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Miss Eliza. Now follow me, in order for me to show you around quickly we're gonna need some sort of transportation other than foot, aren't we?" He kept a hold of her hand and led her towards the train station.
Note: this was created in late November of 2023 so I apologize for the bad writing! I've been writing this for a while and most of the chapters are done but I'll be publishing this when the stories are either almost completed or when it is.
