Führer's marionettes [WW2 Poem]

Trigger Warning: Lots of dying and blood.

Brimming the quiet as German puppets strom in,

Looking through the citizens, at the color of our skin.

*

Inside these labels there's faultless children crying,

*

The streets filled with terror as their mothers are dying.

*

Zigs and zags of people shed the blood we can't replace,

*

Kindness overshadowed by the cruelty in their face.

*

Riots overthrown by the souls racing away,

*

Illness for the night and prayers for the day;

*

Eating away our hearts, filling them with hate,

*

Guarding every day with the hope it's not too late.
