All the kids cheered as Poor Mallory was pushed around. They all laughed and chanted things she was used to hearing by now.

"Freak."

"Loser."

"Weirdo."

You name it, she's probably heard it. This is just part of poor Mallory's daily routine, it doesn't seem to bother her as much anymore, for the poor girl has just given up. All she wanted was for this to end so she could leave. Maddie, the ringleader of all this finally ended this by throwing her book down the school's well.

"Go back to where you belong. Poor Mallory", she spat.

"What's going on here?"

The kids all ran in different directions at the sound of the teacher.

"Nothing Mr.Dunn, we were just playing around. Right, Mal?"

Maddie turned to look at Mallory, waiting for her to agree with Maddie's false claim, "right." She responded.

Maddie smirked and Mr.Dunn sighed,

"well then Madison, I suggest you go and play somewhere else".

Maddie simply shrugged her shoulders and sauntered off.

Are you alright?" Mr.Dunn asked her, She nods as a reply and Mr.Dunn sighs again.

"Mallory, you can't just stand there and go with whatever happens," he scolds.

Mallory simply nods her head again.

Easy for him to say, Mallory thought to herself, he's not the one being bullied by the daughter of the schools biggest source of funds. Mr.Dunn shook his head in disapproval.

"If you ever want to talk, my room is always open." And on that note, the conversation was over.

The bell rang signalling that recess was over. Kids either rushed to get to their lines or walked as slowly as possible. Mallory walked over to the well and gazed down it, she started to wonder how deep it was. She felt slightly upset, she really liked that book it was one of her favourites. How old is this well? She wondered, she knew it was here before the school was built, but that was ages ago. She fished through her pockets and found a nickel.

They say if you throw something special to you down the well your wishes shall be granted.

She tossed her nickel down the well and made her wish.

That was the most important thing Mallory owned, her dad said it was a special nickel and that as long as she had it, she would be the luckiest person alive. Such false information that turned out to be for Poor Mallory, especially when her name translates to 'unfortunate'. Mallory turned back around and saw that her class had already gone inside, so she rushed to the door and walked in with another class.

"Alright Mallory, for this session we're going to try dream therapy."

After the school day ended Mallory had an appointment with her doctor, Dr.Adams. She watched as he started the little clock, quiet ticking filling the room.

"I need you to lie down, close your eyes, and relax." His old, calm voice instructed her and so she obeyed.

It took some time but eventually, her mind went blank and Mallory could feel herself slowly slip away from reality.

Let us now enter Poor Mallory's mind and into her world of nightmares
