I usually don’t post my art due to my drawing like a child but I’m posting to see if anyone would like to give me any or critiques! I used to draw a lot but started to give up due to lack of progress but now that I am older I want to be able to start drawing cats more!

I have finished the critique, and I’m hoping to help you improve! I have done my best to keep your art style in mind, but I’m not perfect, and I may make mistakes.
🏷 Noticed strengths
╚» The simple art style works well here and doesn’t overwhelm the viewer, it also looks cute!
ȯ The face of the cat looks nice, especially considering how the face of the cat is often the most difficult part to get right. Nice job!
🏷 Possible improvements
╚» When you first start referencing images, I’d recommend tracing over the image with basic shapes and then trying to copy those shapes. That along with drawing shapes in general (especially 3d shapes such as cubes, cylinders, etc.) are a great exercise! I made an example below of one way that some of the shapes for this image could be broken down into!
╚» Cat tails don’t get bigger the closer they are to the tail tip, they tend to become smaller and taper off. The tail in the image you used appears to get ‘bigger’ because of the fluffiness!
Keep in mind that these are only suggestions, you’re free to ignore them if you wish. If you have any questions and/or feel free to let me know! :yellow_heart:

try drawing over the cats!
block out the shapes you see in different colors to see what muscles and anatomy cats have :)
