Yeah ;; but to me , it's like saying the flood from Halo, or the Tyranids from 40k aren't villians --
I mean yeah - it's a mindless drone, or just pure instints ;; but that doesn't make it less of a threat, or antagonist in the setting. Their often still 'the bad guys' , y'know?

Tyranids. I'd say no because they are genuine forces of Nature with no concepts of Human Morality like Xenomrophs. The Flood, different case for sure coz a hive mind Is actually capable of understanding Morality, look at Halo 2 for example, a hive mind negotiated with chief and The current Arbiter to see that a Halo wasn't detonated, killing everything. I'd say a Hive mind is definitely villainous rather like Brethern moons in Dead Space. Separately No, a hive mind leader definitely
