Day 1 & 2: Eliza Ruins Everything

Just a little something to start off the challenge, this goes a lot deeper into Eliza's personality. Warning for very dark humor! (VERY DARK HUMOR)

"Ready to sing that song y' made, sweetheart?"

"Yep! It's a rewrite of Rudolph's song that I think better captures the true meaning of his story!"

"Alrighty then! Go on 'n tell me when you're ready!"

"I'm ready!"

Wander began to strum his banjo to a cheery and familiar tune. He couldn't help but smile as he watched his daughter sway her head to the rhythm of the music.

He felt his heart swell with pride as she began to sing her own take on a beloved holiday jingle.

Rudolph the red nosed reindeer,

Had a disability!

The lyrics had come completely out of nowhere, and Wander struggled to coordinate his fingers due to his shock. He trucked onward carefully, praying the song would become more light-hearted.

That gave his crimson deer nose,

Extra visibility!

All of the other reindeer,

Called him tons of nasty slurs!

He was wrong.

His torture was so frequent,

Everyday became a blur!

He was SO wrong.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve,

Santa ran out of lights...

Decency took second place,

To the never ending present race!

So he deployed poor Rudolph,

Who everyone pretends to like,

Just because he convenienced,

Everyone that foggy night!

Well, that might have been the most disturbing song Wander had ever heard. He couldn't even fathom how Eliza came up with such a thing, even if she did frequent in dark humor!

She never did tell him many jokes, was she always this graphically disturbing?

"So, what'd you think? You stopped playing near the end there. It didn't get to you too much, did it?"

"Eliza... How... How is that about the true meanin' of the story? It's so sad..."

Eliza grinned at him in an ironically cheerful manner.

"Oh Pa, you didn't really take time to analyze the written story, did you? It's pretty messed up."

"B-but Rudolph saved the day n' all the other Reindeer became friends with him!"

"Only because he convenienced them once; they were downright cruel to him before that. If you took the time to think about it, you'd realize the twisted and unrealistic moral of the story:"

Eliza sat up and slung her arm over Wander's shoulder as she waved her forearm up across the sky.

"Disabilities are only socially acceptable if they benefit someone else."
