Hey, I'm back! I finally finished drawing these character design thingies for my OC, Slate Harnden. I'll attach his profile to the bottom of this post in a sec. Here's the process I went through to draw him:
Started off with the sketch; did some basic body outlines with shapes and stuff underneath the second sketch, which has more detail.
Next I neatened up the lines some more and actually gave the puppet a body so it's not just shapes. Also started colouring the face and hair, and added the burn scars. Also rearranged the faces on the right to make it a little more organized.
Added the stitches to the mouth next, and experimented with the colours for his outfit. As you can see, the colour palette is pretty atrocious at the moment X) I also finished doing the base colours for his face and hair.
Here I did some basic shading on the expressions, and added some life in his eyes. Also fixed the horrible colour scheme that used to be his outfit. The stitches got randomly removed because I decided to change the expression in the middle since the full body image on the left already has that exact same emotion.
Finally, I finished shading everything and added the highlights on certain parts of the body. I also hanged how I did the noses; the way I drew them before were nice for getting a rough idea of how it should look, but I personally like how it looks like this now a lot more.
