Had a lot of fun just testing different effects I haven't used before in After Effects. Colors were pretty much all just pinkish purple with different blending modes on each layer, and primarily animated using masks. Might try to make a lava/meteor animated texture as more practice. My Motion Graphics instructor showed how to do it with literally 5 basic shapes, 2 colors and 2-4 precomps based on how much detail you want.
