trigger warning for suicide
Over a month ago, this community lost a member. Now, that may not sound like a big deal, but it wasn’t just this community that lost her. Her friends, her family, her teachers, her peers. They all lost Sarah Mustafa.
The 16 year old girl whose faceclaim here was Dean has unfortunately deliberately left this world.
I have never really talked to her too much, and I feel bad for not knowing much to say. If you were a friend of hers, I think it’d be great to say some positive things about her. I just want the community to know her a little better.
I won’t go into the details of her death as it’s probably something personal i shouldn’t touch on.
Sarah, I am so sorry this was your only option. I so badly wish I could’ve gotten to know you better because I’m sure you’re a sweet person. You’re in a better place now, a place where you’ll always be loved and accepted. I’m sorry that this (earth) wasn’t that place.
May you rest well.

This is clearly such a sad tragedy that happened and I want to make sure everyone who’s here knows they have someone they can talk to.
If you’re experiencing thoughts of hurting yourself, hurting others, or even killing yourself, you could reach out to me, but I’m of course not licensed.
If you’re in the US, you can text the number 741741 (Canada is 686868 and UK is 85258).
That’s the crisis hotline and I used it a few times myself when I was going through the hardest time in my life. It definitely helps just having another human to rant to, and the best part is that’s it’s a texting hotline. No need to call so no one else can hear.
I have also found a link to a site that lists suicide hotlines around the world, so please them if you need help.
International Suicide Hotlines
I’ve also found a few more crisis hotlines across the world that aren’t exactly related to suicide.
And here are some hotlines you can call or email across the world.
You’re not alone. People will help you. You’re not a burden. There will always be someone who loves you and accepts you, it can just be such a hard journey to find them.
Please don’t give up. Just reach out to any of these hotlines, your friends, your family, your teachers, your coaches. Anyone who you really truly trust.
There are people who are there for you. I promise. Even if you feel so alone, you’re not.
To finish off, id like to share a quote my English teacher told me:
“Everything is okay in the end. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.”

I’ve dealt with this more times than I should....It makes me feel very saddened that I wasn’t able to help these people realize that suicide is never the answer. I’m praying for her family and friends and I hope you guys will too.
