→he doesn't have a lot of friends but he has met a lot of other individuals throughout his time. There was one yokai that stuck out to him and she will always have a place in his heart. He wishes he had someone he can call his friend but he usually distances himself from others so he doesn't accidentally hurt them.

History

He first appeared out of no where around 712 CE. He didn't know who he was or where he came from. He had no memories at all and went to a nearby town to ask for help. However, when he arrived the weather became stormy and the people of the town were terrified seeing him. They thought it was the end for them but all he wanted was to ask for help. They chased him away and once he left, the storm left as well. No matter where Nuemaru went he spread disaster. He caused omens everywhere he went too. No one wanted to help him and no other yokai wanted to help him either. His bad luck was horrific that there was no person that could stick beside him. He tried to seek help during the Heike Monogatari (1371 CE) but soon caused the bloodiest civil war and most tragic family clans.

Another incident he caused was in the summer of 1153 in Kyoto. Nuemaru made a visit to a town to find a cure for his curse. Since he didn't want people seeing him, he only came out at night and early morning. He had a feeling there was something in there that could help him.

When he arrived, there were rumors of the Emperor that lived in the castle in the town suddenly had terrible nightmares and grew ill. Nothing could cure the Emperor and eventually priests pinpointed that it was the cause of a spirit. Several days later when Nuemaru came close to the palace, lighting had struck the roof and it caught on fire. He didn't mean for that too happen he was curious of what the palace looked like inside. The emperor had summoned the infamous samurai, Minamoto no Yorimasa, to slay the spirit and alongside him his companion, I no Hayata.

They saw a strange wind followed by a dark cloud and Yorimasa shot it with his legendary bow. It shot Nuemaru in the chest as he fell from the sky letting out his bird like screech. I no Hayata dealt the final blow to Nuemaru's chest. The inhabitants were afraid of the curse so they carried the body to a boat, and it was shipped off to Kamo River. Somehow Nuemaru survived and disappeared back into the clouds.

After that incident, he continued wondering the world. Nuemaru grew very lonely and sad at times. He wept and let out a terrifying bird like shriek. It was like a bird's sad song. Suddenly, someone had appeared before him. She had the appearance of a half human and half bird. Nuemaru begged her to stay away from him but she refused. She asked why he was so sad but he didn't give her an answer. She inched closer to him and wiped his tear that fell from his cheek. "I have been lonely for thousands of years. I been traveling around the world to find something that would cure me of my curse." He told her and she smiled softly understanding the pain he must be in. She plucked a gem from the crown she wore and gave it to him. "This will dial the curse down. Please keep it my friend." She said to him and soon disappeared into the night. To this day, Nuemaru wears the gem around his neck.

He didn't know who that woman was but she will always have a place in his heart and considered her his first friend. Nuemaru's whereabouts are unknown as he's still continuing to travel and resolve his curse.
