Beach tag tournament

Having gone through their third year at wellston, The close duo of Ventus and Meili try to decide what to do for this summer break. Their first summer break together after meeting at wellston, they attended a tag team video game tournament in which they placed second in. Their second summer spent together, they won first place in a kart racing tournament. For their third summer break, the two decided to go and attend the Kovoro beach's month of sports tournaments.

Announcer: "Alright folks! Here's what we've been waiting for! Kovoro beach's first annual tag team tournament!" A boisterous young man was speaking into a microphone announcing to the beach about the brand new tournament being held.

Meili: "Alright! It's time to get this show on the road! We're gonna take this win easy." Preparing for the tag team competition was Meili. She was dressed in a light green sweat shorts and a white tie tied in a knot at her stomach.

Ventus: "Yup! Well take this easy. These are all sports competitions which you excel at. I'll be the back up this time around." Meili's partner in crime, Ventus was stretching his arms. He was dressed in light green swimming trunks and a unbuttoned white shirt. "Looks like our match is first. Let's go."

Announcer: "Let's get started with our first match of the volleyball tournament! Here are our starting pairs folks! Over on the left side we have, The fearsome duo from wellston private high! Meili and Ventus! Now, on the right side, from Agwin high, We have the strongman twin duo of Andy and Randy! Make some noise for our starting group folks!" On the left side of a set up volleyball net was Ventus and Meili. While on the right side, there were two lightly tanned boys with short, messy silver hair, blue eyes, and matching blue swimming trunks.

Crowd: "WOOOO! GO AGWIN! SHOW WELLSTON HOW IT'S DONE!" The crowd was cheering for the Agwin high side of the net.

Announcer: "Woo wee! Favoritism right off the bat! Let's see if the other team can deliver and upset! teams. Ability use is permitted, but the volleyball itself is not reinforced. If the ball gets destroyed by a team's ability use whether from hitting the ball itself, or hitting the ground and bursting after getting hit by an ability, the team that caused it's destruction is disqualified! A fun twist, right?! Now let's get this show on the road! Due to some favoritism by the crowd, the duo representing wellston high get to start with the ball." The announcer brought out a standard white volleyball from his chair and tossed it over to Meili.

Meili: "This should be easy pickings. You know the deal, Ventus. You stay in the back and I'll handle up close." Activating her ability, Meili's hands transformed into red demon claws as she held the ball in the palm of her hand.

Ventus: "Gotcha." Moving further back, Ventus activated his ability and air began swirling around his hands.

Andy&Randy: Both twins activated their abilities, their eyes glowing a bright green. Andy walked to the back and Randy stayed in the front.

Announcer: "Alright! Both teams are ready and the crowd is anxious to see the winners already! Ready! Set! GO!!"

Meili:"Coming to you first!" Meili tossed the ball up backwards towards Ventus and got into a crouching position.

Ventus: "Got it!" Ventus shot out a whirlwind from his right hand towards the volleyball coming at him and sent it soaring over Meili's head. "Coming back at ya!"

Meili: "HAA!!" Taking advantage of her crouching position, Meili jumped high in the air as the ball flew over her head and spiked the volleyball with the palm of her hand towards Randy.

Randy: Watching the volleyball come at him at a high speed, Randy cup his hands together and held them close to his Lower abdomen. He received the ball without do much as moving an inch and tossed it backwards into the air where his brother was. "We're gonna play this one close!"

Andy: Already realizing what kind of play his brother wanted, Andy tapped the ball back up as it reached him and on its way back down, he cupped his hands together like his brother and hit the ball at an angle so it was going above his brother and close to the net.

Meili: "What're they doing? ...Crap! Ventus! Get ready to receive it!" Realizing that the twins were going for a spike extremely close to the net, Meili quickly got ready and lowered her torso towards the floor.

Randy: Moving closer to the net, Randy jumped up and spiked the ball straight at the floor with enough might that the ball received a tear on it. The older twin smirked after this hit.

Meili: 'They have to have some sort of strength ability. They've had their abilities active since the start of the match and nothing about them has changed, nor have they shot out anything.' Meili thought to herself as she dived towards the volleyball landing location. She has both her hands open wide palm outwards as she landed in the sand and attempted to send the ball backwards towards Ventus.

Ventus: "I got it!" Ventus raised his arms up so that his hands were over his head. As the ball reached over him, he shot out a strong whirlwind to blow the volleyball high into the air to give Meili enough time to get back to her feet. The problem with the whirlwind hitting the volleyball, is that it was cutting an already torn up ball. Ventus not knowing the ball already had a tear in it, kept the ball airborne until it ripped to pieces as Meili got up. "What?! I didn't have it up their that long!"

Announcer: "Uh Oh! Looks like that's the game folks! The duo representing wellston has been disqualified! The strongman twins win! What a horrible game to start off with, but I'm sure the crowd is absolutely happy with the results. Well folks, tell if I'm right or wrong and give some noise!" The announcer held his Mic out towards the crowd and held his hand behind his ear.

Crowd: "WOOOO!!! AGWIN HIGH REPRESENT!!!" The crowd was extremely happy with the results of the match regardless of the outcome.

Meili: "Just like that? What the hell?" Meili just stood there in shock and deactivated her ability.

Ventus: "Sorry, Meili. I didn't know the ball would tear up that quick. We lost cause of me." He patted his motionless teammate on the back. She was probably feeling worse than he was because she was so confident that his ability would net them easy wins.

Announcer: "Don't worry you two! Come on back in a couple days and you'll be able to participate in the other sports tournaments being held. For now, either enjoy the show or enjoy the beach. Now on to the next contestants!"

Meili: "I was so confident... and we lost. I'm a horrible person..." Meili groaned and began shuffling towards the snack bar.

Ventus: "Ok, ok. Let's not worry about this loss for now. We'll demolish the other tournaments throughout the month. We're gonna bring home a ton of gold." Ventus smiled trying to reassure his now zombie of a friend and began pushing her ahead.
