“ ... 'The head hanged low and detached, a breathless body rotting on the road. A skeleton of a shadow slathered deep in a pool of blood, had he been an inch away, the liquids would not have drained and his eyes would have stayed as brown as the dirt beneath the sky than the whitest of snowstorms' ... ” (Golden, 3.25).

Was Ivy right about leaving Reed?
───
While Ivy is, yes, a victim of Reed's abuse and toxicity, it is all Reed has ever known. This does not excuse Reed of his actions and nor should we ignore the fact that no one is perfect anyways. Regardless that Reed's treatment in his relationship was clingy and desperate, Reed acknowledges this and just as much as he mimicks who he does not want to be, does he need help as well instead of Ivy in some forms, allowing this to build up until suicide. “ 'Did, did I hurt you!?' ... 'I don't want to be like him, I can't be like him!' ... ” (PetPyves, Chapter 2, 16:30).
So, doesn't this mean that if this is all Reed has ever known, should Ivy have stayed, or was she right about leaving? (Let me know your viewpoints in the comments). If I have invalid information that is indeed a fact than your own opinion, it is based on not reviewing the entirety of the episode than rather doing this by memory.

Everyone: Ivy should've stayed!
Me after taking health in JH: >:(
Here's some more food for thought: why did Imp choose Ivy as the vessel and not Reed...? Have fun sleeping :-)
waIT Omg that's deep and dark xD
My Opinion
in my opinion, although I don't hate ivy nor reed, they should've tried harder on their relationship. Ivy needs to be much understanding and try to talk to Reed about the situation. I know, Reed is abused-but it doesn't give him the right to abuse ANYONE. Reed doesn't realize that what he's doing is wrong, but who can blame him? It's all he knew, Abuse.
he was so overprotective of ivy because he didn't want to lose her . He didn't want ivy to leave him, he didn't want ivy to replace him, he was so scared of them coming true because what he experienced in the past.
Ivy in the other hand, she doesn't deserve to be abused or controlled, I can totally understand her but she could've understand him a lot better. Maybe their relationship would work out. But it's Ivy's choice, everyone is different.
in my opinion, Ivy should have stayed, I understand that she wants to be free but reed experienced a much harder life and ivy was the only light in his dark void. But now that she's gone, he's stuck, all alone. If They had more time, they can understand each other a lot Better, and maybe reed can learn and ivy can stay beside him forever. After all, She promised him that she would stay by his side. They could've developed their relationship a lot better if Imp didn't try to convince ivy to leave him.
I feel like she should have stayed. I think overtime Reed would learn that his pain isn’t what others have to also suffer, and I do truly feel like he knows what he’s doing is wrong. He really could’ve had a good relationship with Ivy if she had just tried a bit harder.
She was right about leaving. Through the cycle of abuse, when Reed breaks down crying it shows the Honeymoon phase
When the ab will promise it won’t happen again
Sometimes the ab showers the victims with gifts or look for sympathy, whether they be lying or not. Petpyves was able to show the cycle of abuse in such a short amount of time. The honeymoon phase is what most abusive relationships go to that pressure the victim into staying.
