It/its pronouns are gender neutral pronouns, similar to they/them. It can be used for people who don't exactly feel connect with being a human, trauma from being called it, feeling othet worldly, or feeling nothing at all. The meaning can be up to you! Another way I like to think about it to is it feels like a masculine they/them.
There is some controversy with this pronoun because of trans people being called 'it' as a way to dehumanize them. Some then decided to reclaim the pronoun so it can be used against us in a harming way. Even though stigma is trying to be broken around to to help the community be very cautious when calling someone 'it' when it's not specified. It can't be taken in a very negative way because of how it has been used.
Here are a few examples on how they are used:
It is good at math.
When I have a question, I ask it.
Its shoes are new.
That trumpet is its.
Ashton loves itself.
