i’m writing a letter to myself for when i’m in recovery listing some reasons why i wanted top surgery and i was wondering if y’all could share some as well so i can add them!! some examples i have right now are being able to wear t shirts and tank tops in the summer without a binder and being able to be shirtless at the beach and wear a towel only on my lower half! share some of your little reasons if ur comfortable :)

Mostly just so I’m actually known as a boy. And so I won’t be dysphoric, and I could be comfy.
Something I didn't think about pre-op that I'm now very satisfied with post-op is being able to put a shirt on immediately after the shower. Having to be completely dry for a binder sucked.
Maybe I wouldn't feel anxious wearing anything that doesn't effectively hide my chest, I wouldn't have to keep pulling my shirt to make sure it's baggy and I wouldn't feel uncomfortable with wearing only a t shirt at home

Would feel and look like a man. Won't be miss-sexed as a woman. Will decrease body dysphoria. Will feel lighter, won't hate my body as much when I look in the mirror. Can exercise without parts moving. XD hope these help
