Organization:

The Stormcrows is a Free Company of free men operating in the Free Cities and Slaver's Bay. They consist of five hundred able-bodied horsemen, and are led by three t Captains. The current Captains are Daario Naharis, Prendahl na Ghezn, and Sallor. Below the Captains in rank are a number of Serjeants.

The Stormcrows blazon their banner with four crows between crossed thunderbolts. Their standard is a dozen ragged black streamers on a tall staff, topped by a carved wooden crow.

The Stormcrows are one of the best-known Free Companies. They take on any free man able to prove their worth.

Recent events:

Following the Fall of Astapor, the Stormcrows sign on with Yunkai to defend the city from the forces of Queen Daenerys I Targaryen. They are arrayed on the right of the Yunkish host. Queen Daenerys summons the Yunkish commanders to parley with her, and the three Captains of the Stormcrows are the first to answer. She offers them gold and plunder, but Captain Prendahl na Ghezn angrily rebuffs her.

The Stormcrows, however, are a company of free men, so the question of breaking contract with Yunkai is put to each man. While the debate is still going on in the camp, Captain Daario Naharis, who has been won over by Queen Daenerys, kills Prendahl and Sallor. He returns to her camp in secret, presents their heads to her, and surrenders the Stormcrows to her cause. Queen Daenerys, aware that Daario may betray her, orders him to attack the Yunkish in the rear when the attack begins.

The attack is launched a few hours after midnight, and the Stormcrows attack the Yunkish in the rear, as promised. The Second Sons are too drunk to fight, but their Captain, Mero of Braavos, flees when he realizes that the Stormcrows have betrayed them. The Yunkish host suffers two hundred casualties, while the other three thousand are captured. Queen Daenerys's forces only lose a dozen men.

Prendahl and Sallor are replaced as t Captains by Jokin and the Widower. The Stormcrows participate in the Siege of Meereen.

Queen Daenerys sends the Stormcrows to negotiate trade with Lhazar, entrusting Captain Daario with gold plate and gems as gifts for the Lhazareen. When the Long Lances attempt to close off the Khyzai , the Stormcrows descend on them in the night. While few of the Long Lances perish, only nine Stormcrows fall. Daario also manages to convince a dozen Long Lances to the Stormcrows. While in Lhazar, two Serjeants of the company plot to steal the valuables Daenerys sent with them, but Daario finds out and kills them. The Stormcrows are successful in their mission, and return to Meereen.

Almost as soon as they return, Queen Daenerys orders the Stormcrows to scout the hinterlands of Yunkai and protect caravans ing through the Khyzai . Two dozen of the Windblown desert to the Stormcrows, and Daario presents them to Daenerys. Prince Quentyn Nymeros Martell, however, reveals that these Windblown are double agents, and they are imprisoned.

Queen Daenerys sends Captain Daario as one of the hostages to guarantee peace with Yunkai. After Daenerys disappears atop Drogon, Ser Barristan Selmy thinks that Daario must be rescued before the Stormcrows take matters into their own hands. In Daario's stead, Jokin and the Widower sit on the newly created Council of Meereen.

When Ser Barristan prepares a sortie against the Yunkish, who have restarted hostilities, the Stormcrows are lined up at the western gate. They participate in the ensuing battle.
