The Shield Islands are the Islands West of Highgarden that protect the River Mander which Numerous settlements lay upon from the Ironborn. They are normally known as 4 Shields or The Shields. The Shield Islands used to be known as The Misty Islands at the time of Ironborn occupation

House Grimm rules over Greyshield, one lf the islands. Their castle is called Grimston. Their Coat of Arms is an Iron escutcheon with white dots around it laying on a gray-green field with longships littered around it.

House Serry

House Serry Rules of Southshield, one of the Islands. The southernmost island. Their Coat of Arms is a white rose upon a escutcheon upon a white background, then it has a red embattled border.

House Hewett

House Hewett rules over Oakenshield. Their Castle is Lord Hewett's Castle. Their Coat of Arms is a oaken escutcheon with iron dots around it, laying on a field of undulating blue and white.

The climate of the shield islands is Temperate. Temperate weather is close to weather around The UK and the Netherlands.

What is it known for?

The Shield Islands are known for being a defence against the Ironborn to protect the river mander. They have a decent fleet with ok sea strength. Ironborn have been defeated by the Shield Islands and The Shield Islands defeated by the Ironborn. Lord Quellon Greyjoy has been killed attacking an area near the mander.

Towns and Cities of the Shield Islands

Lord Hewett's Town is a decent sized port Ruled under House Hewett. The Town is situated on Oakenshield.
